Sign Of The Times.
They should get rid of the ridiculous thing where you can only use the WIFI for 20 minutes after buying your first drink. You have to keep buying drinks to top up the 20 minutes. It's pretty much the reason I never go near the place now.

I regularly used to enjoy Saturday mornings, during shopping having an Americano at Coffee Republic, listening to Jazz FM
I even bought a mug off of them and I still have it.
However Starbucks paid CR to leave town and for a while I had to go to Costa.
Now I go mostly to Caffé Nero, sometimes to Central Bean and rarely go to Starbucks.
I know I can make coffee cheaper at home, but I go mostly for the conversation with the baristas
As for pinkmichk comment, See this story (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8132122.stm)

I have some gunpowder tea and some proper Chinese tea.
As for coffee, tonight I had some ground coffee I bought loose at a proper Coffee supplier rather than a jar of instant
