she broke up with the footballer (they met at school in fife) on the show by referring to him as her ex. she wanted to get engaged before the show but he said they couldn't afford it and gave her a promise ring instead whilst in oz (he plays there now)

as soon as she was revealed as being in big brother, he came out as saying he was planning to propose. then she said the ex thing and broke his heart.

i can't stand karly but i've not got much sympathy for him either. he didn't want to get engaged until he seen she was in the house. think he was looking for some exposure
