Big Brother now is looked at as a stepping stone to getting into the public eye, instead of being a psychological show that shows how certain individuals react to being a part of a group.

It's a waiting room for those hoping to find the tiniest glimmering hope of fame.

Dostoevsky made the point that intelligent talented people very rarely become famous because they are smart enough to see fame for what it is. I think this has something to do with the quality of people who apply to be housemates.
