What do you guys think? I know it's only the first episode but judging by it the BB US season is going to be much more interesting. Instead of a house of daft punks there are some pretty diverse people who actually possess a brain in this house.

Oxford English Dictionary:
arse
• noun Brit. vulgar slang; a person’s bottom.
— ORIGIN Old English.
It is a word. and to whoever said language isn't invented. I'll think you find it is.
We may learn it, but new words arise everyday, therefore invented (and language had to come from somewhere originally)

The USA BB TV show has the American game show type edit, but the live feeds rock the casbah. I'm watching them now and enjoying the LF a lot. This cast is awesome and this years twist seems good. I would never watch it without livefeed that's for sure, and I don't rely on the highlight shows at all.

Being a writer and all, you should know the definition of slang, therefor this ends here.

You can't compare BBUSA and BBUK. BBUK is more documentary style where BBUSA is reality show edited, style. They're both good but if one must compare, BBUSA has had more memorable people in it's cast and you can't really predict what will happen from nominations on, unlike BBUK. Especially this season where whoever faces Halfwit goes home. With BBUSA there's the veto and always strategy, so it's never really deadset. You guys got a raw deal with BBUSA9 it was total trash. Easily the 3rd worst season after BB4 and BB10. Anyone who wants a true taste of Big Brother US should check out Season 2, Season 7 and Season 8.

This is my first year watching any BB series. As I'm American and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching the current BB UK, I decided I would give BB US a shot. Perhaps I would get more involved watching my fellow countrymen, but no. There's something about it that I just don't like. It seems less... organic than BB UK, less real. There's definitely something weird about it that I can't put my finger on.

The fact it's edited and produced each week and that they have a strict schedule to follow for the week in terms of nominations/veto/eviction, perhaps? Or the fact the 1/4 of the cast is all models. :yuk:

I suppose. Like I said, I have never seen the BB US series before apart from a few clips I watched earlier in the day so I don't know what it's really like. I just hope it doesn't end up being like Real World. That show kills me.

BBUK has been consistently better since the beginning, but BBUS has (besides season 9) been getting better while UK (especially season 9) has been getting worse.
BBUK needs better challenges/twists and casting. Their fame***** ratio has gone off the charts since BB7. BBUSA needs better editing. If they cut the cheesy royalty-free BG music, the 10 minutes of blue exposition, etc. they could easily compete with the UK.

I tend to agree with this statement. BB USA is a very strategic game where the players analyze their moves in the house and form secret alliances. It's brilliant. :thumbs2:
USA is a good format, I like the backstabbing, scheming and the 'game' element to it. UK is a popularity contest, USA winner is the best player.

I watched them all.
Some guy has got them all uploaded on youtube.
Personally i like the usa version. It's more a battle of the minds and physically chalenging.Plus much more scheming and bitching as they don't care what the public think.
Too many arse kissers and freaks in our big brother. They are too scared to argue because they don't want to look bad on tv.In the usa show it is all part of the gameplan.

bb2/bb7 had the best big brother gameplayer ever called dr will kirby.
He never won a single task or food task and openly told them all he would stab them in the back and kick them out the house and he played them all by basically lying his ass off hehe pure genius :hello:
