Hardly surprising - it's a ridiculous and dangerous activity, it's utterly pointless.

Its never a good thing when someone dies
Unless they are really awful, like Saddam Hussein.
I'm not saying that killing bulls isn't awful, but it's hardly worth dieing for.

Its not pointless.
You get a big natural high from it, the fear and adrenaline from it, gives people a big rush.
And its tradition.

WTF? So getting a high and an adrenaline rush warrants putting a bull through a slow and painful death? Are you serious?
And of course, because it is tradition then it should never be changed. It used to be a tradition to stone people.

I was talking about how running from bulls down a narrow street is what gives people a massive rush...
Nothing to do with the killing after.
Ok so running from a bull let loose in the streets isn't pointless because it gives people a rush? So it's ok that people can get maimed or killed due to this, but that's due to their own stupidity anyway. And let's just forget about what happens to the bull as a result. Ahh, that's so much more acceptable now you put it that way.

Anybody who gets killed by a bull (or bulls) in this kind of sport (if you could call it sport) deserves everything they were looking for. I have no sympathy. The animal is one of Gods creatures and should be respected as so.

So glad you put this thread up Arista.
I saw this on the news yesterday and actually cheered. Before people attack me about a man dying i appreciate any death is sad.
These Bulls run because they are absolutely terrified. This is not a natural enviorment for them. Sometimes they have oil cannisters attached to their horns which are then set alight.
Just imagine how terrifying that must be!
If people are stupid enough to run with bulls or bull fight then they have to accept the risks.
Incidently, a 'Bullfight'? These bulls have knives/swords thrust into their neck muscles to weaken them beforehand. Hardly a 'fight'.

Yes people that take part in it if they are hurt or killed its their own fault.
I never said "forget about it" i said "i wasnt talking about the bulls being killed" as in focusing on one part of the bull run, not the whole thing, and before this thread i didnt even know they were killed, i was just stating that, thats what the point of it is in my eyes..
Resorting to sarcasm so soon Ben? Paranoid much? Since when am I always having a go at you? :conf:
I never said you said "forget about it" did I? Maybe you should read up on the facts and horrors of bull runs.
And incidentally, why are you trying to make out this is personal on my behalf? I thought this was in the serious debates section? Is that your best tactic?

I give up, i really don't care at all.
I made the point they done it becuase it gives a natural high from fear and adrenaline, thats it, nothing more, nothing less.

It's nothing to do with putting your views across.
You brought up part of it that i wasn't even talking about, and i couldn't be bothered to debate somthing that was going nowhere.

2) It's a tradition.

I don't think we should be cheering his death, thousands of innocent people (from all over the world) take part in it so do they deserve to die too? I feel sorry for the bulls I really do it's a cruel tradition but I dont think we should be happy about loss of human life.
It's easy to hate when someone is simply summed up as 'bull runner' but at the end of the day he was a man, probably with a family and we're laughing at him for a silly mistake.
