Let's be honest, 'Nasty' Nick MADE BB!

Does anyone agree with me that Nick from BB1's whole 'getting found out' made BB as successful it is/was?

I think if that didn't happen then BB wouldn't have even made BB2 let alone BB10!

Up to then the whole BB thing was of little interest to the media (in spite of the full frontal M/F nudity which everyone forgets).
Suddenly the "serious" papers and the TV started to follow this new phenomenon.
Of course it was much more exciting in those early days.

He's pretty tame by today's standards, but people found him genuinely shocking at the time. I think it's fair to say he is testament to the fact that every BB needs a villain.

Without question, "Nasty Nick" made Big Brother. I watched it right from the beginning, but my interest was fading fast. Nick being found out and ejected was what got me interested again and what got the entire nation talking about the show.

Without a doubt. It was thanks to him that Big Brother started to get media interest. It was after all the media interest in Nick that the magazines (like Heat) started to take an interest in evicted housemates etc.

I don't think it would have taken off like it did without him. I'd say him and Jade are the 2 BIG names from Big Brother history.

yeah, I get what you are saying. He was the man the phrase 'gameplan' in BB was coined for after all.

The drama he created probably did give the whole BB phenomenon that extra push to become as big as it did.
