This years National Television Awards wont actually take place this year.

The next NTA's wont be until January 20th 2010. Also, for the first time in it's 15 year history, Sir Trevor McDonald won't be hosting. Instead that goes to ITV's new golden boy Dermot O'Leary.

The awards will also take place in The O2 Arena.

I wouldn't care if the NTA's were never on again! They've been like groundhog day in recent years with the same ones winning year on year.

No unfortunately.
ITV were going to axe them because the Royal Albert Hall was too expensive, but they're now going to be at the O2 arena which I assume is cheaper.

Good move bringing Dermot in, the awards have needed a new host for a long time now.
