View Full Version : Who is your idol?

Who do you admire?
For me it’s Kobe Bryant.
He taught me no matter what you go through in life. The ups and downs, if you have a strong focus and a great work ethic, there is nothing to stop you from getting to the top.

My dad because he did immigrate from Russia with his family when he was young and then succeeded everything he did: he did well in his studies, he has an amazing job (ex-trader, now financial analyst for HSBC), he travels the world all the time (thanks to his job), he's an amazing dad, he taught me all the values and the morals and I needed to have. He never felt like a victim for what happened in Russia, he always stood up and decided to live his life no matter what happened in his childhood.
He'd the perfect example of success and that immigrates can actually do something with their life and I respect him so much for this.

That's what I said my idol is my dad. We don't actually know celebrities, we know them just as much as the papers want us to know them. Ordinary people are so much more interesting because they get real life and not only champagne, parties and money.

Niall Quinn.... in female form. LOL.
I kind of look up too Kelly Clarkson, which goes against all your little 'Celeb vs Real person' theories. But I admire how she stays real when everyone is against her and she ignores the comments she gets about her looks and never changes for anyone.
I don't really look up to anyone else that much, because everyone I know has their faults and no one I know is perfect and amazing to look up too. My dads a muppet and my mums my friend so I don't really look up to her... It annoys me when people say 'but you don't know them' to celebs, does that mean you cannot look up to them?

Only Tom Fletcher, he is a great song writer, super talented, doesn't care about the fame, he writes about real stuff, things I can relate too, he just gets on with what he enjoys doing and is happy others enjoy listening to his music <3

If everyone else is having celebs I might as well say why Take That.
I admire Take That because they're 4 genuine,down-to-earth,humble,lovely guys. They worked extremely hard to get where they are today, and they never take any of it for granted. They're genourous, kind, they are amazing to their fans. They put absolutely 100% into everything they do. They're gracious,I lost count of how much they thanked us on tour. They seem geninely stunned to how much love they get from their fans and I don't really know if they know just how amazing they are and how much they mean to the fans. They're all creative genuines(well in my opinion anyways :p),they make amazing music and put on INCREDIBLE shows. They're funny and nice and human, they never act like they're Gods. Plus they're gorgeous :P

She's more of an inspiration really and she's so so talented. She's been through so much by getting and overcoming cancer at the age of 18 and she's a really amazing person who works so hard. Whatever I'm going through in life there's always a song of hers that relates, and her music helps me through the bad times.
