View Full Version : Anyone think telling the Housemates about Michael Jackson was wrong?

dennissabre

Fredrico now claims he told Noirin deliberately and then claims BB will be happy to get the extra ratings.

Either way the whole point of BB is to shut housemates off from the outside world unless something important happens or something happens to a family member.

I do not consider Michael Jacksons death worthy of telling the housemates.

Big Brother Official Rules.

1.) 1 NO CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD

While the contestants are in the House they will have no contact with the outside world. Big Brother will never discuss with participants how they are shown on television, how they are represented in other forms of media or anything else that has happened in the outside world.

The housemates are not permitted to make any attempts to communicate personal messages with the outside world by any means (this includes verbal, written messages or symbols). They cannot make any attempt to communicate personal messages to the outside world when they know that Big Brother is broadcasting live.

If BB were paying Fredrico for his appearence then they should withdraw it. And they should not have let him on BBLB.

It is completely wrong that the HMs were told about MJ. Maybe we should tell them about something even closer to home. How about the sad killings of the eight troops who were kill within 24 hours of each other?

Yeah, I think it's always best to find things out by yourself, especially when it's serious news.

And of course about the no contact with the outside world rule should definitely apply in all cases.

I wanted them to be told in the first place.

But I think that's the risk they had with putting in people from the outside world who aren't risking anything if they tell housemates

I don't thuink BB knew he was going to tell them, but I am glad he did.

I don't think they should of found out. But it will make a lot more people tune in to watch their reactions to the news

That's the sad irony of this. More people will tune in to see the reactions of the HMs. I think it is pretty ugly that MJs death is turned into yet another circus for the benefit of ratings.

Thats just the way Fredrico is, self elected rebel and leader, BB knows the risks in taking particular ex housemates back into the house, dont think they will mind the odd piece of information being passed to the housemates as their reactions could be considered newsworthy.

I always thought it was a waste not filming the evicted housemates reactions to news that had taken place while they were in the house, as a sort of follow up, showing the reintegration of the evictee back into normality

None of the "visitors" are being paid for their appearances: one of the reasons "Nasty Nick" didn't do the BB1 task (apparently).

Instead, money is being put into the fund set up after Jade Goody's death.
