To be a pedant, it's not ten year birthday/anniversary since it only started in uk in 2000 which was not 10 years ago.

The one thing BBLB has taught me this year is that UK has had the most consecutive series year on year. I'd imagined it be Holland where it started or Germany where it was big in the early 2000s (much dwarfing our viewing figures).

So you're probably right that it's had it's day as nowhere else to go.

Aye, it's deteriorated rapidly since the big characters got wrongly evicted. The housemates left are pathetic and dull.

Like you, I think it's pointless for a series next year if it's a re-packaged version of this year's downhill series.

BB will need to pull out all their weapons on Friday.

That happens when a show is on the downhill. Since I'm sure you're not that conceited, you would appreciate that it's not a good sign if so many people give this type of feedback.

I know I'm conceited myself regarding the BB issue, but at least it's geared in the right direction and acts against declining viewing figures and stifled entertainment. All in good cause.

The show might have lasted a bit longer if C4 and Endemol hadn't ballsed up so many times.

But as it is, I think Big Brother may have had its day. Personally, I'll really miss it, but if they use that time BB is off our screens productively to build up some buzz for the show again, move it to a new channel and bring in a new set of production staff who actually know what they're doing, then it will be worth it.
