Why is it that older people come across as?

I think that Derek is just very arrogant - I am pretty old lol ( nearly 35 ) and hope that I am far more tolerant than he is. I imagine he was very spoiled as a child and now can not bare it if he does not get his own way, he is very immature I mean did you see the way he behaved over the wine, it was not his and he should have just kept his spoiled nasty mouth shut. :hello:

Yeah Derek's condescending attitude has nothing to do with his age. I'm 32, and I think I'm far more tolerant than I was a few years ago. Derek's just a selfish tw*t. I agreed with him about the state of the toilet though - it was disgusting.

Derek's attitude has nothing to do with age - I think he was probably like that at his posh school when he was about 10 or 11. He just thinks he is better than everyone else and wouldnt sound half as bad if he spoke normally not in that I must speak very slowly to you cos you are thick voice.

I most certainly agree with you . I think Derek is overly critical , arrogant , and patronizing . He has picked Sam and Saskia for nominations both weeks and tried to influence everyone else to do the same .
Fait enough Sam is a weirdo and highly unlikeable , but Saskia is lovely and hadn't said a word out of line to Derek before he nominated her the first time . this leads me to believe that his reasons for nominating those two are out of jelousy rather than actually having a valid reason to nominate them as they are two pretty girls who got a lot of male attention , and I reckon he secretly fancies Anthony or Maxwell .:bored:
