View Full Version : Does anyone actually think letters from home is good tv?

I find it the most annoying part of reality shows. It's just a bunch of people blubbering and I can never actually make out what the letter says because of that. Even if I could I wouldn't find it the least bit interesting. I hope they don't do it this year i really do.
Agree/Disagree?
Disagree.. It always brings a tear to my eye!

Hi Margery!
Funny enough I dont usually watch the letters from home! Sentimental clap trap mostly and there is usually a terrible letter from someone and then someone who can't read it properly!

Hey Bansheewails :xyxwave:
:joker: There is always someone (Usually a guy) who has to get someone else to read it because they can't pull themselves together to finish a sentence so the one letter takes up so much time. The whole thing is just

You see I can't understand that...
What about it makes you cry? considering you don't know the person who wrote the letter

I don't really know.. seeing anyone (especially men) getting emotional always makes me cry. I guess I am just a big softie  I cried buckets when Scott and Charlene got married on neighbours for gods sake!

LOL... I also cried when Kerry Mangel was killed! In fact I remember once (before I admit this, I had horrendous PMT at the time) I cried at the Bisto advert where the mum is in the kitchen and all the family have left home and she is imagining them all around the table laughing and having a meal!!
I'll get me coat!

It's a shame that you would look like a heartless sod just for not crying. I completely agree.
It provides a "low point" for the best bits. You've always gotta have tears in the best bits, and it's an easy way to force it out of 'em.

Why not just play booing crowd noises through the night as soon as the last person goes to sleep. Much more entertaining and im sure that would be a low point for anyone!

i love it when they get letters. it's always emotional. and it's nice for the HMs to be in touch a little bit with the outside world, and know that things are still normal out there.
