I ve heard it before, usually Toffs name their kids like that.
Yeah I have. Normally short for Beatrice, but I know a girl called Bryony who goes by Bea.

Bea is short for Beatrice.
You have a current princess in the UK that is called Bea. And a princess about 125 years ago too (Queen Victoria's youngest daughter).

Its fairly common particularly amongst the upper classes. One of the queens grandchildren is called Bea

I know a couple of people called Bea. Her original name is rebecca though she just works with two rebeccas so they shortened her name (Live feed last night)

One of my granddaughters is called Bea and it`s not shortened that is her name, i also have granddaughters called Poppy & Gabbie
