Hira's time in the diary room was a real problem because you could sense the BB team were panicking as the programme time was dwindling fast. They simply had no time to explain to her.

Normally BB would be patient and explain until the HM understood.

Yeah they let her go.. knowing she didn't understand, im sure they would have called her and probably the other new housemates to the diary room afterwards

Ken went to get the hamper later in the night, so they probably told him about it then.

They would probably have to had explained the task through a series of short movies, pictures and hand puppets for her to fully understand.

To be fair, they did a poor job of explaining the task making it more complicated than it had to be. All they had to do was have her pick the two balls out. Then once they were out say: "Your secret mission is as follows: You and the new housemates are to try to get Freddie and Noirin up for nomination this week. How you choose to do so is up to you. If you fail in this task, you and the other housemates will be automatically up for eviction. Succeed, and you're all off the chopping block. Please inform the other new housemates of this mission."

And what was up with BB not telling her the hamper was beside the chair when she asked? She may be a tad dumb, but you can't be mad at the girl if BB is unwilling to clarify any questions she may have. At least if you're strapped for time on live tv, call her back in afterward to make sure she understands what is going on.

If they had continued to explain to her until she fully understood, they would need another 2 weeks on the show!

I think she understood more than she made out, she saw the hamper but pretended she hadn`t

It was torture to watch. The Channel 4 programme was ruined. The whole idea was in a tangle. All over the place.

These things happen.

Yes, they did a terrible job of explaining. I didn't get it at first either.

But it's important to note who exactly can nominate. Only original HMs are allowed.

At first I thought it was about the new HMs all nomming Freddie and Noirin, and if they all did, it's job done. Sounds too simple, yes.

I don't get why they left that part about who can nominate, till right at the end, since it was the key distinction. Because if newbs could vote, they wouldn't need to scurry round convincing the originals.

5-6 votes for Halfwit and Noirin would be enough most likely.
