Protective of old housemates?

Every year when they add new housemates i suddenly feel protective of the old housemates

this year i wanted new housemates the old ones were lacking a bit and didn't think i would feel like this again but i have

yeah people are complaining that the new housemates are boring and they want to get rid.. we could have got rid of some of the boring originals who have now been in for 6 weeks!!
