Without sounding patronising, could you PLEASE keep the use of capitals and exclamations to a minimum. you wouldn't shout at someone in real life so don't to it on the internet, it's beyond irritating.

particularly in thread titles, as soon as I see it I'm immediately put off the thread.

I have come across this hatred of capitals a lot on the internet. What is the problem?? It's only typed words...they have no sound!! lolol

it's really only the BB10 section, as that is where the newer members seem to migrate.

and Rice Square it's hardly standing up to anyone, merely a request, a reminder of the rules.

The mods should be a lot more on the ball with newbies (and some oldies) spouting disgusting racist and homophobic comments.

I'm not so OCD about how people may choose to input their posts. For me it's more about what they are saying, rather than the style of the text. Abother thing that annoys me are the Spelling Police, who think it's their solemn duty to put others down for any mis-spelled words. Of course, the Grammatical Social Workers aren't much better.

I know I'm a Noob but I have to say I do agree fully with this.

When the awful spelling, grammar and punctuation have been dealt with, will be the time to worry about the use of upper case letters.

how can capitals be beyond irritating? when you read something its no louder on the ears in capitals than in small. its not like we are going to go deaf by reading.
irritating is noisy drunks, barking dogs , lots of other things im sure you get the picture.
car number plates are in capitals yet i have never seen anybody wearing ear defenders walking through a carpark.
lets try keeping things in perspective and live and let live.

It you just type like a few words in capitals its not so bad, but if you type the title to a thread and a full paragraph of capitals it looks untidy and is against the rules.

But things need to be reported, if a thread has a problem with it, dont just start insulting the member please report it..

haggis
19-07-2009, 03:48 PM
so why do mods let double, treble postings happen. why cant all named postings about h/m be moved to under one thread.
