My mum has passed away

My mum died last night and my dad has been a mess. They live in Brazil so i've been calling him to keep him sane. Apparently she was asleep when she died so was peaceful.
Its for the best, because she had been in alot of pain and becoming weak after struggling with breast cancer for a few years, so hopefully she is at peace now.
I hated explaining it to my little brothers on the phone, and the worst part is that there are no flights out to Brazil for a few more days, so I might have to miss the funeral.

Have phoned my dad and he says that my uncle is doing all the funeral stuff, and that the service is going to be in 2 weekends time.

Ill probs have to get a loan from my dad or something and fly out there for a day or two and just make sure I go to the funeral and nothing else, because I have alot of Uni stuff to do in the next couple of weeks that I can't put off.

I'm trying to get a flight out there next week on Friday and come back on Sunday, with the veiw to spending Saturday with my family and going to the funeral.

If the funeral turns out to be on a different day then i'm not sure how i'll shuffle things around :/

I wouldn't be on a forum telling people I don't know that my mother had died; but to give Jayson the benefit of the doubt, he's said that his family are all over in Brazil - it's not like he has his family to talk to instead. I do think it's all a bit suspect, but people have their reasons and their own coping mechanisms, so I hope you're alright (if your mum has died) and I... hope you're alright (if you're making this up..) but I like to believe the best in everybody, so I hope you manage to find a flight home in time for your mum's funeral, or you'll be kicking yourself forever that you couldn't get home. On a happier note, my girl's coming home from Brazil on Friday (her mum's Brazilian), maybe you could get on the return flight :P.
