I spent nearly 5 years in Durham and it was the most beautiful place I have ever lived.

And the people are lovely.... especially in the old pit villages on the coast.

Newcastle University use to be part of Durham University.... it was called Kings College Durham.

But that is the only connection. Durham is a city in it's own right.

We are only 13 miles away from you not 300 so we all have similar accents - he has always lived in consett well his family have I went to school with his auntie heather.

Yep I was born in south shields moved to sunderland lived in newcastle and am now living in washington i often visit durham and we are great and friendy people here
