No, you don't have to close a thread to stop the arguing. Most people simply offer up a warning in order to allow the arguing members the opportunity and time to stop and save the thread. Then, if the argument continues, then the thread is locked.

But whatever dude. You have your methods .

I find it a shame that I have to close a thread to stop the arguing. My decision stands on this I'm afraid. If it's not the same argument,it will only be somebody else to start it off again.

No they won't. Raph already said he was done. And so am I. I think it's a shame to let a viable discussion go to waste when you could just delete the argument.
