You said you've been to New Jersey at least a couple times before right? Do you usually hear a thick accent coming from people? For me most just speak kinda normally BUT maybe I'm just used to it and only the thickest NJ accents are the ones I notice

Yeah I started texting her like a couple days / week later and then we went on a first date last week at this restaurant near her that she likes.

I found out she likes eating at that place and then took her there, me being a good listener.
