Have you got any spots in Rome that you want to see, that you never got to see on other visits?
And I agree on Switzerland, they were seen as a safe pick because of being politically neutral, controversially though I do prefer the song over Tattoo last year, which I really think only got votes because of who was singing the song, rather than the actual quality of the song imo.
I had a decent weekend, I watched some boring Football matches, but all in all I have enjoyed my weekend.
And lol, at least you'll have time to yourself now.
I agree that some of the songs were really quite memorable this year.
I personally think that the Political sphere of Eurovision is going to potentially kill the Show off if they can't keep it under control, I mean the Jury were ramming points onto Switzerland just to make a political point I think, and it ultimately stopped other good entries also being celebrated on the night.
And I do say that as someone that liked the Switzerland performance.
I'm glad that you and your family had a good time with the Show though, Joey.
I was sad but it was a year where lots had outlandish staging.
So hard for one to stand out.
There was political elements too.
However vast improvement on last year, plus except in 2022 with Sam Ryder
Olly did improve our usual 3rd last to last position.
The public vote shocked me though.
I thought the public vote would have liked Olly more than the juries.
I did think to myself, perhaps the Swiss staging would have suited Olly, with his song being called Dizzy.
Because how the Swiss guy wasn't dizzy after that I don't know
I'l enjoyed it.
I think Eurovision needs to be looked at both as to voting process what the contest is now.
It was a SONG contest.
However is it now who sings the loudest, has the best effects, has the best staging.
With little to do with the song anymore.
It's also maybe too big.
I'm having a gathering here of family with food etc.
We recorded it, Just the songs, played them back.
It's been good to have a mild wild time tonight.
