It's magic right? I mean, you've literally got everything you want in a film there: passion, friendship, adversity, pathos etc., and all done under the guise of a kinda crass, much derided art form such as heavy metal. That's what was so refreshing for me really - that beauty and true love can be found in the most unusual of places, even in the hands of a fella who enjoys playing his guitar with a giant dildo. lol. Just a wonderful film.

Watched Anvil BTW. Absoloutely loved it. Really pulled on the aul strings, pun intended, for me too because I feel really bad when I see or hear of those situations with bands pulling in terrible crowds .

Sure the movie done them a world of good anyway.

Still, it did show up how depressingly cliched the genre is sometimes.
