For example, in 2011 the juries placed Russia last. In 2015 they placed them 3rd. And I'm not even going to compare their 2011 entry to the masterpiece they sent in 2015...
Yes, juries can be corrupted but there are also jury members who vote in a more professional way. For example, they usually award quality entries or great voices.
While televoters usually just vote for entertaining entries and they can also be more corrupted than the juries, for example Russia is almost always in the top 10 of the televote at Eurovision, just because they have many neighbors.
The juries balance the bloc voting when the entry doesn't truly deserve it, from a professional point of view always.
I don't like the jury system because it can be corrupted, hence why certain countries are always guaranteed certain places no matter who they select as their representative.
