Ah, so I probably do sound ungrateful. I get on with my mom brilliantly (well we do argue), I hate my dad (but he doesn't know it) 'cause he's a homophobe, and he has other massive flaws in his personality and logic. My brother and I get on well now (we used to never talk since it was better than arguing constantly). I love my brother's girlfriend though, we're great friends.

Nope it sounds like a lovely day to me. I don't get along with my family, and wish I'd had your kind of day for my 18th.

I feel like such an ungrateful twat for saying this but it was a normal day, and that's how I'll remember it as.

But I'm not annoyed about this, it's just how the day was and I probably wouldn't actually have it any other way.

Well at least you will remember your birthday and had a lovely time for it, that's all that matters. You don't have to be wasted or partying to have a good one.
