The older Columbos, from 1971 to about 1977, are great. It's the ones Falk did in the late 1980s/early 1990s which I find irritating. They're over-long and long-winded! I cannot stomach them!

Yes, there was a lot more than i seemed to remember, although if you watch then to often peter falk tends to irritate a little!!!
