I don't mind the opening but the movie within a movie thing was a bit gimmicky. But yeah it was a great sequel and was a major improvement on Scream 3. It's a shame it didn't do as well as the first three did at the Box Office.

Scream 4 was also a bit remakey of the original but idk if that's a good thing or not. It's certainly a better film than most remakes

I watched Scream 4 yesterday. She's probably my favourite killer tbh. Her motive was brilliant and just screamed (no pun intended) everything about our culture today and the media and how it's so easy to get famous for nothing. Plus her psycho breakdown and that scene where she's destroying herself is one of my favourite scenes in the whole franchise. Oh and she was the first killer to actually stab Sidney during the reveal. It took four films for the killer to actually do that instead of just rambling on about what they were going to do her before getting shot in the head by her.
