I'm having the same problem. It's hard to get into BB with all the stuff going on in the real world. All reality TV seems to be feel more fake and superficial than usual, but I think that's because life is feeling a lot less serialized, i.e. covered in a generic way... now everyone and everything does things to get attention now and so there's no surprise element.

I wasn't that interested in following civvy. I know the TiBB member was in it, but I wasn't around when they were active I guess because not sure who they were. I read what you had said in a thread (or was it the email?). That didn't help my enthusiasm. Chad is in CBB though, and I loved him on The Bachelorette (I used to have him in my signature)... though I think his character from that show was largely producer-encouraged. He always seemed like the token American male on steroids.

Yeah it's just been extremely ridiculous past few months. I haven't watched a single episode of CBB... is it any good?

Oh yes, it'll be my first British almost-Christmas haha (I won't be there during the actual holiday, but it's still festive enough ).
The only places I've been to are London and Brighton (which is such a lovely place), so I still have a lot more to visit. And yes, the prices in London are insane. I don't know how better it gets if you live in a shared apartment. I think Manchester is more budget-friendly... to a certain extent.
The acid attacks are so surreal, but after being on London Bridge during June 3rd, I can assure you horrible things can happen anywhere. Don't let this things scare you away.

Last year I've stayed as well near Paddington (a short walk to Edgeware station) and it was a great location to get everywhere I wanted. Covent garden is one of my favourite areas of the city

It's basically divided into regular tickets and priority (people with paid membership at ApplauseStore).
Considering you're going on the regular list, I would recommend getting there around 3PM at most to guarantee your entrance (I know it sounds early, but this is how it goes on launch shows + being CBB, many people arrive and they can't let everyone in, especially if many priority tickets' holders show up).
You'll have plenty of time outside, so bring some music/book/something to watch while waiting, and you can always pop up to Tesco to kill some time (and buy food/drink, but please note that you can't bring them inside the studio).

Please make sure you carry your ID with you, because they have asked for it on launch night (but it was a few days after the London bridge attack, so they might have gone back to not checking it).
