Yeah I was gobsmacked they did a great job of making you think it was going the way of the original story before completely turning it all in a whole new direction

Yeah it was Kirsten in the original, and she was Jack's lover rather than mother and they conspired together but when she discovers he was just using her she lets him go down for it.

And in the Marple version she kills Gwenda (who dies in place of Nasty Wheelchair Guy but he still dies in the novel)

So yeah, a very different version which I loved it for
