..LOL..my eldest son likes that look too...quite a few years ago now..there was a girl who worked in the tattoo place where he got his tattoo done...and his ear piercings..she was dark and pale.. gothic...very pretty...he had a bit of a crush on her for ages...she had a boyfriend though..I think he hoped one day she wouldn't....but it never happened LOL...and he's got an amazing girlfriend now....so everything works out in the end...try telling someone that when they've got a crush LOL

I read a whole series of those books, too, but my search for literature on religious doubt, took my back into ancient Greek philosophers like Epicurus, Plat and Socrates, and then up through enlightenment thinkers like Voltaire, Hume and Spinoza. This lead on to human rights and freedom of humanity, so I became fascinated with Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson and the American founding fathers, as a general outline.

I'm a bit of a geek though. My degree is in history and my masters is in history and history of religion.

It's actually a gentle introduction into atheist literature. Good luck. Are you theist/agnostic/religious at the moment?

I really like Sam Harris, and "end of faith" is a really good book. I'd definitely recommend it on a reading list. Definitely give it a go.
