Portugal really do need to step up their game, i like that they always sing in portuguese but that may go against them. I feel like they do send a lot of average songs that wouldn't stand out to casual Eurovision viewers

True. They've been participating for so many years and they have never made the top 5. Not even once. That's a complete failure.

I sometimes am, I think that 2008, 2012 and 2014 were really underrated. But Portugal are one of the weaker Eurovision countries
