And I don't see it as narcissistic and patronising at all. I see it as a powerful statement about how we are all the same and how we were all Born This Way. The fact that Gaga made the song more of an LGBT equality anthem than the other things it talks about makes it even more personal to me. It makes me feel good to hear my favourite artist singing that I was 'Born This Way' and it does console me when I read/hear the horrible things said about gays in general.

Sorry about the essay. And this is my order from what I've heard so far: Ray of Light > COADF > American Life > Music > Erotica > Bedtime Stories > The rest.

And I liked it. Though the only song that conveys that message well enough for me could only be Born This Way - that song really means a lot to me despite all the criticism its endured.

And I'm listening to American Life now. I'm liking it more than I anticipated I would! Hollywood, American Life and I'm So Stupid are amazing.
