That's why I wasn't massively interested in the "Gael is a mole" thing because it's more interesting when that sort of thing is used as a twist rather than us knowing all along and just waiting for CTU to find out so them twisting that into him being in league with Jack the whole time was brilliant

I love how with this show, the apparent storyine and main villains at the start of the season is only ever really a prelude to the real conflict, they're always subordinates or pawns to someone bigger I like this approach because it minimizes the risk of the story getting samey and boring.
