This is what James said about the avatars

Avatars have to be no bigger than 150px x 160px, and uploaded sigs no bigger than 550px x 150px, and the filesize can't be bigger than about 120Kb.

If the filesize is too big it won't upload. If the filesize is alright but the pic is too large it will be resized and won't be animated.

Kazzane do you use the option for linking to the image from photobucket when you try to add a sig? because if you do that could be what's causing the pics to resize, I took this screenshot to show you what I mean



When you add a sig or even an image to a post it's best just to use the [img] link from photobucket.

Hmm I was thinking you were maybe uploading them to the forum directly and it was resizing them, I'm not too sure why it's happening tbh but I will post in admin again, I remember posting in there about it before when you had trouble with your sig image but it never got a reply.

Do you use an image website like tinypic or photobucket to upload them first or do you upload them straight to the forum?

I'm rubbish with the graphics side of things, took me forever to lwarn just how to put a pic in Sig n avatar, don't know how to reside them. Josy is the go to girl for all that - she's an absolute whiz just ask her, she's very helpful.

ok, right I have taken you off my friends list so I can show you how to do it. Go to my page now and on the right you should see a box with 6 of my friends pics in it. At the bottom of this box it should say "Befriend Kate" Click it and follow the instructions.
