That is a really good build for a laptop. Unfortunately when it comes to any laptop, cheap == unusable POS, so 9/10 you have to bite the bullet price-wise -_-. I wish I could build one like I could a desktop, but prob can't get it thin or light enough without going OEM... and still have to commit to a brand anyway

Mac products for me are really priced to experience. For people who don't want to have to think too much about computers and just want it to work and to be intuitive by design are more likely to prefer Mac. Also Mac is pretty minimalist, whereas Windows is kinda noisy... a lot of creatives prefer that environment. Even a lot of developers have moved to it. Of course there is the desire to be apart of a certain tribe (aka a "brand").

People bitch about Apple, but then I'm like... the Ipod/Iphone has ONE button and a simple interface... how can anyone screw it up? That's the biggest difference.

    Also your art teacher sucks

I had an overbearing painting professor once. She would take pieces and start modifying them and working on them. She started to do that on a piece I had already laid down plannings stages... she started to try to be overbearing and my hair is raising on the back of my neck like... you better not alter my piece ... I will murder you lady

Yeah BoA used to be really popular in Japan. Another crossover band is SES. They released this in English when I was a child. Hence 90's beat

Oh I do this for living but I don't think anyone ever really uses a drafting table with a sketchpad. You can get the table cross bar that goes across on the ones meant for architects that screw down, but that for me would just be overkill. I'm just being needy

Usually supposed to put masking tape with a single piece of paper. However I prefer the incline because 1) saves my back 2) I have a massive drawing tablet on my main desk with three monitors... I really don't have room to draw and I would like to sketch and work on multiple things at my drafting table.

I went and got some suction cups so I will probably just have to make something

This is the table I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0038D8N9G...ding=UTF8&th=1 Very chic

I bought a new drafting table but I'm trying to figure out how to make something so that sketchbooks don't slide off. I can hold it with one arm, but that isn't as glamorous. Thinking of getting some wood and tiny suction cups and making something like that that'll stick... maybe even a strip of coated metal or something.

I started doing ink work with dip pens (think calligraphy), but I prefer to have it in my sketchbook as I'm still getting used to the medium and want to actually save them so I can see my progress.

At least the medieval period is not as boring/plain as some of the periods we had to cover. You should take a dip pen to school and write all your notes medieval style, maybe you'll get extra credit? Nah, probably will be the first person called for being a teacher's pet. I noticed the closer you sat to the front, the more likely you're going to be called... all the art buffs sat at the front of the class and they always raised their hands.

I was thinking of my art history professor when the earthquake in Italy happened. She speaks the language and would be very upset to hear about the earthquake there and some of the structures being damaged. She takes the Italian/Art History students on a trip there every year.

(K-pop) The rapping remind me of vERBAL. He is featured alongside a lot of artists like Namie Amuro, MINMI, Boa, etc...

This is like Koi no Dansu if you liked that song:

I guess Trump reads. I would've never pegged him as a reader of anything that isn't about him.

    Time to nerd out...

If you install Ubuntu (a flavor of Linux), you can partition some of your HDD for Linux and keep windows preexisting. Though a lot of things don't run super well on it, particularly multimedia things like dying flash) where you need additional software, but it's a nice low-key interface which I prefer to Windows sometimes and does web stuff just fine. Ubuntu has one of my favorite typefaces creatively named "Ubuntu"

If you don't use the DVD drive, you can probably find a drive bay for it online. It's very easy to replace that drive (remove and put in a drive bay for 2.5 hard drive). So you can use the drive's SATA connection for another hard disk and do things that way.

    What's your PC's specs?

    Ohhh I know your pain...

Two words. Art History. Just as bad if not worse. We had to carry this huge back breaking book into class with a bunch of reproductions. The book had to be like 25 lbs or something ridic, but I want to say it was 1400+ of pages of moderately heavy weight paper... thankfully I took fitness swimming right before the class during the second semester of it But yeah she should assign 100 pages of reading and memorizing names of artists/paintings, etc... she used to give us tests on recall and she said within 10 years is correct, so I just took all the words and rounded the years and made a timeline. Made things so much simpler.
