Yup it’s like a gambling discount rate And it’s totally worth it because even when we have big losses it’s money we’d have to spend regardless for a ~3 day trip to most places, way more including plane travels, so gambling it away is a lot more fun (and for me at least in recent year or two it’s been mostly bad with in-person gambling esp cause casino games but overall it goes well a lot too) Yeah I don’t care for the plane ride prob nothing special but I do wanna check out what some of these west/south coast states, other countries etc. are like not just stories

Wooden floors at my house & they’re a bit more common overall. I feel like you could still kinda mop/then vacuum with carpet but it prob is a much bigger pain in the ass. Now that I think about it, my friend’s fiance is the only one who likes us taking off our shoes & they have carpet floors

Loool not a big drama starting over shoes on in the house. Yeah like I think the difference around here is that many people really won't care much one way or the other about shoes in the house (but some still do ofc). I feel like it really doesn't do much to the floors People will just clean the floors either way too so I think many in US just accept that as a task before/after having guests lol.

One of us will usually say there's a moth inside and we'll kinda stop working and guide it out of the window/door sksks... I'm not like jumping away from it but when it's inside I'm always keeping a close eye on it and not doing much of the work to get it outside ngl

Ooooo that sunrise is looking NICE it does look a lot like a filter Were you out having a cig or something?

It probably is pretty different but feels like they're both kinda like the center / highly busy areas.. the cities that never sleep

The AC/Borgata rooms are insane, like can't get anything for less than $100+/night without being a returning gambling addict there. (and more during holidays/events which are the best times to go).. we've saved a lot of money cause of my dad & then us doing plenty of gambling there. Still can be costly when you're losing with t'gambling tho nnn Aside from NY I've been to northeast states a few times total, Pennsylvania a few times and some other 1-timers (just random, like as a kid I went to Washington D.C. on a school trip for ~a day, stuff like that). Just states that have been easy to get to still never been on a plane before.

Yeah I could see it being really mixed around here. Generally I think people will keep their shoes on when going to someone else's place and see it as rude if they just take them off until/unless the person whose house it is asks them to do so. Like between my friends, they'll usually just take their shoes off immediately and I will do the same at their places but with family we always just all keep our shoes on for family parties at anyone's house lol.

Ahh I can't STAND moths either When we keep the door/windows open at work (before it's hot enough to turn on AC) a moth would come in so often and it'd be so annoying flying around. Do you guys not have like that netting guard/screen for windows so that flies etc. don't get in? Something like this, sooo useful and air still gets in pretty nicely

I've never even heard of / tasted orange cookies before Yeah I always see London being kinda like the NYC of the UK idk if it's actually accurate or not but it gives me that vibe

100% all worth it for a trip wherever it is (usually AC tho cause of how much cheaper it is for us ) I need to start taking trips out of state tho to like Florida, Cali, Texas, Nevada etc. Just literally never taken a long-term trip that far in my whole life.

Sooo true I'm usually good with controlling myself (and like to do so) before it hits me bad so that later on I'm not just suddenly fuuucked for the night. It's just too much for me and then I feel so **** the times I do go OTT with it (orangu)... I mean I guess everyone does I just really don't like that feeling

Yeah there are some that will stay open way late here too but closing ~3am or a bit sooner is most common in places we've gone to. That sounds sooooo perfect @ going from pub to bed within minutes And lmaooo I'm exactly that type of impatient when I'm drinking! People usually think I'm going for a wild night but I'll usually just slow down (# of drinks, not necessarily the speed) as the night goes on... I'm good once I at least feel that buzz

Lol somewhat true @ shoes inside but not always/very true tho. Many don't like to have people wearing shoes in the house. I personally don't wear shoes inside that often, usually take them right off & I'm even barefoot a decent amount at home But I wouldn't say it's totally false and has some truth to it, maybe a lot more common compared to UK? Who told you that / where'd you read it?

The way he said it, I think he just set me up to think it was actual cookies tbf lol. Yeah my friend doesn't even mention the name a lot of the time but sometimes he does. I'll remember it if it's something unique Naaah I don't think I've ever had that happen. They'll literally try to do business with random people on the street then? That sounds so careless from them like they can get in trouble so easily that way London's probably wild like that tho loool, I feel like I could expect to come across that in NYC at some point if I lived there.

I mean it still varies but yeah I'd say drinks & entries are mostly more expensive around there (my friends normally looking for a cheaper spot no matter where we go anyway). But especially if you go to one inside one of the actual casinos, they can afford to over price anything and still get business cause people are looking for quick and easy access to party. Still worth it for a good time imo tho

Oh damn that's eeearly @ 12am but makes sense with the guests. A lot of them do close around 2-3am around here tho and that's not even connected with a hostel. That's not even bad for sleep then, your time at those hostels must've been a really fun/funny blast

I think speed deeefinitely does have a factor because I don't often drink a lot and as soon as I start drinking a bit extra I'm always getting a hangover the next morning. I'm always finishing my drinks quickly so that might be why.. I don't have the patience to sip for a while

Yup some of them have a muuuch nicer effect and are so much more memorable The names for them are sooo random/silly sometimes tho Oh yeah the way my friend mentioned this one to me, he's just like "I got orange cookies" and I'm like "Ohh really? What kinda cookies are those?" ffff Yeah at least I'm pretty sure he does. Well I do know he used to have a different dealer back in the day but I think he's gone to the same guy for a long time now.

They wouldn't know or care and you can get up to 3 room keys so people would just have to come up to the room in groups / find one of us who have a key. We do a lot of stuff together but a lot of splitting up especially when it's more of us and especially when we go to a club around the area / gambling around the casinos things like that. It's fun either way tho whether a small or big group (I think I've said this before but I prefer just going with a few friends the most & that's what we do most often)

Random decisions but there are 2 beds most places / most AC rooms, the simplicity of going only about 3-4(-5) of us is no one needs to take the floor and it's most commonly that few that go When it's more, sometimes people have just offered or we'll decide based on some game/whatever - I think literally rock, paper, scissors before, stuff like that. But in AC we usually get in really cheap or free (with just lil room fee) & whoever supplies the room gets first dibs which is usually from me or my dad or one of my friends has gotten us a decent amount of rooms too. The times my dad also goes with us I'll sleep with him & the other bed is up for grabs.

Ohhh I would've thought it'd be tough to sleep right next to the pub so you'd be asleep at like 4-5am or later most nights I do love like 2-3am post-club convos after a great/long/drunken night so literally living right next to the pub sounds right on par
