Anyone else feel like a fool for liking Dan?

I honestly from his VT, entrance and first day thought Dan was a good guy and finally we moved away from the stereotypical gay housemates and thought he would be good fun. However my mum and sister were convinced he was gonna be a douche bag. Which is ironic really.
Then after when he tried to get (can't remember who it was) to talk in the playhouse and then a few hours talked about it with someone else I tried to look past it. Now every time he is on screen he is either attention seeking or bitching about someone.

The thing is, it's not even entertaining bitchy-ness it's just him going on and on about everyone else. Even during live-feed he comes across as a douche bag. I actually feel so stupid that I thought this person was a good guy.

I am even beginning to like Gina... :conf: I diffidently can not read people.
Can believe I had an argument with a friend about how nice and how horrible she was. Now I feel the opposite.
I really love Dexter too. Someone I wanted out from the beginning.

TL;DR:
-I went from loving Dan to hating him.
-Went from HATING Dexter to loving him.
-Disliked Gina and now like her.

Can anyone else identify with this or am I just a huge idiot who can't read people.

I do a bit, I thought he was going to be the peace making type male of the house that played a big part in tasks and things like that but I have went right off him, he's going to end up really bitchy I think.

I liked Dan from the start and still like him. For some reason people seemed to expect him to be perfect and now that he's coming across as imperfect and human he has fallen off his pedestal. It seems to be 'bash Dan' time for no good reason. It will be someone else's turn next week.

Yeah. I couldn't stop laughing at how "upset" he was about being called bitchy. Only a bitchy person would act like that.
He just knows that word to the public will make him look bad.
I hated how he mocked Dexter trying to speak. Shouting over him too.

I guess I just hate people ganging up.

I'm really going off him fast. He's just so bitchy and smug. He better leave Dexter alone. :nono:

I think the reasons have been made pretty clear by members on here that don't like him any more, it's because of actions over the past couple of days both on the LF and the HL shows.

Yeah, actions that show he's not as perfect as they thought he was. He hasn't done anything so bad that would inspire such dislike, imo.

I'm not keen on Dan and don't trust him. And I really don't think he is good looking either. But I can't help feeling that Dan actually knows that Michael is the mole even from before he (Dan) entered the house. He seems to know a bit too much and it has nothing to do with him been an ex-detective outside. It is almost like he was given tips before he entered the house.

muchadoaboutnothing 21-06-2013 04:46 PM

Come to think of it - was Dan in the batch of second HMs to go in on the Friday night? and if so, is it possible that someone tipped him off before he went in on the Friday night?

Anyone who quits their career to go on Big Brother needs their head sorted, he's a loser

pcro 21-06-2013 04:52 PM

He is a bit high on himself to say the least. However, when Michael is actually revealed to be an actor, Dan will look like a genius in the house for abolutely sussing it out. He doesnt appear to be in any danger of nomination any time soon and will cetainly target Dexter's ouster next week. And he will likely succeed.

I liked him from the start, still do. He is being pilloried on TiBB because he speaks his mind.

Hopefully he can overcome this bitterness and go on to win.

Dexter was saved by the public and i hope that will boost his confidence. Dexter was the only one to stand up to Dan and i love him for it.

Dan has good and bad parts to his character, he can be argumentative and bitchy but he can also be kinda heroic and a peacemaker.

That's kinda one of the reasons I like BB, you get to see the HMs whole personality, even their flaws.

So no I don't feel a fool at all for liking him the other day.

Vladimir 21-06-2013 05:06 PM

I still like him

reece(: 21-06-2013 05:08 PM

I'm still a fan, bitchiness is a boost in my opinion as he could provide arguments and bring more to the show than just a "fun" character.

chuff me dizzy 21-06-2013 05:09 PM

No way !! hes still my fav

Fosse 21-06-2013 05:10 PM

I stopped liking him and started liking Dexter instead.

The Hobbit is now my favourite HM.

1. Never liked him so it's all good.
2. Didn't know y'all would turn on him so quick. I knew you'd turn on him though.
3. Like Reece said, this actually makes him more interesting.

Me too, the fact that he has some faults & they are starting come out I'm liking him even more, at least he has opinions & challenges people about what they say & do in the house, also he just doesn't just sit back & say nothing in fear of being nominated.

fingers 21-06-2013 05:13 PM

He'll be flavour of the month tonight in the House even if not on here!

...and if they stick to in-house nominating he won't be nommed!:wavey:

joeysteele 21-06-2013 05:16 PM

Far from it, nothing I have seen is anyhting to dislike him for really.
If anything I like him more as the series goes on as I do most of the other housemates too.

Not sure if this is aimed at me as I don't know you...
Bitchy or not it's an unlikable quality.

Headie 21-06-2013 05:18 PM

Sallie has poisoned him. Before he became proper friends with her, he seemed perfectly fine and a fun character to me.
