Half-Blood Price and it's Marvolo's Gaunt's house. I love that chapter.

Yeah he was found in posession of cannabis so instead of Crabbe and Goyle in the Room of Requirement with Malfoy, it's Goyle and Blaise Zabini.

- the deaths of fred, snape, colin, lupin, tonks, padfoot, bellatrix, voldemort [that's a lot of deathtime]
- the battle of hogwarts - this NEEDS to be done justice. I demand that Trelawney is seen hurling crystal balls, the NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH line, Grawp tearing at the castle walls, Sprout using grubblyplanks and other plants to attack death eaters, McGonagall destroying the two death eater-teachers, Voldemort's ceasefire and Harry going to sacrifice himself...
- the room of requirement burning to **** with fiendfyre (and crabbe's death)
- Nagini's slaughter
- introduction of Aberforth
- the break-in at Gringotts
- the Potter support radio station (and news of the Hogwarts underground Dumbledore's Army)
- Harry's supposed death scene, and Hagrid being forced to carry him [and the whole explanation of the deathly hallows again, i expect]
- the ending (some years later)

edit: omg, I just remembered where Neville is forced to wear the sorting hat and it's set alight - that bit sounded awful in the books

Potter support radio station? Doubt they'll include that in Part 2, it should have been shown in Part 1. :( They're only on the run one last time really, after the Gringotts break in and even then they don't last a full night because they have to go back to Hogwarts.

Smithy 25-11-2010 04:33 PM

ohh nooo, I forgot tonks died :(

Beastie 25-11-2010 04:35 PM

Do it! Watch it again. Eventhough the pictures is quite expensive :S Unless you have one of them unlimited passes for like 13 quid 50 a month or something.

I havn't got one of them passes though because I don't go to the pictures no more than twice a month!

Beastie 25-11-2010 11:24 PM

Went to see it tonight! :) Thought it was brilliant!

I did think the kissing between Harry and Hermionie was a bit suttle though. I heard reviews about that and I think people were exaggerating about it being "full on" and that. Well it was but yeah! I thought there was more sexual tension between Harry and Hermionie when they were dancing to that song on the radio! I was like "oh eyyyyy"

I think Daniel Radcliffe is turning into a fitty!!

I liked the way it ended too. With Dobby dying and Voldermort getting the wand from Dumbledore! I can't wait until the 2nd part of the film now. Shame we have to wait until July :(

Aww I think I want to see it again now!

Tom4784 27-11-2010 11:42 PM

I'm excited for part 2 knowing where it splits. Since chances are the film's gonna be around 2 hours long and the Gringotts part won't be that long it'll mean there's plenty of time devoted to the Hogwarts scenes.

Went to see this tonight and it was amazing! Going to have to read the book again before pt2 though!

Marsh. 28-11-2010 08:59 PM

I watched it Saturday afternoon and Dobby's death was done very well considering he's CGI. I was worried how it would come off but that shot of him from behind when he's stood there with his knees slightly bent on the beach when they first notice him had me wanting to cry, lol.

Also, got to compliment Emma Watson. She's usually really bad at delivering lines and acts a bit wooden IMO but she put her all into this film and really impressed me.

Alan Rickman, Bonham Carter, Fiennes etc were brill too and the score used at the end which clearly screamed "cliffhanger coming up" was brilliant. Great decision to have two movies.

Yeah I thought Emma Watson was amazing in this film, she shone in every scene she was in.

King Gizzard 28-11-2010 11:01 PM

Saw it friday night. It was decent. Still weird it being only half a book so I couldn't call it amazing or anything..and I'd forgotten most of the book so I couldn't compare it :(

Their were idiotic teenagers in the cinema laughing at everything, ruined the film

King Gizzard 28-11-2010 11:03 PM

Rupert and Emma were amazing as usual. And I'm not Daniel Radcliffes biggest fan so as usual I didn't really like his performance, I don't get any emotion from him..anyone feel the same ?

Lewis. 28-11-2010 11:20 PM

I get that feeling too Nate! When he shouts he reminds me of that little boy from 'Nanny McPhee'. I guess though that over the years their acting skills were bound to change. When they signed up the 3 kids they didn't know whether they were still going to be able to act in 9 years time so they have to work with what they've got. I thought Emma Watson was great though. Move over Cheryl Cole! Emma is one of the most attractive people I have ever seen! It's a shame she had her hair cut so short though - I liked it longer.

King Gizzard 28-11-2010 11:30 PM

Emma has a huge future but she's gone off to do a degree hasnt she? I don't know if she's interested in still acting..

Ruperts made a faily movie recently he needs to find something thats right for him, but all of them no matter what they do are just going to be seen as a Harry Potter character

Yeah she's currently studying at Brown University in America but recently completed a film which is released next year called 'A Week with Marilyn'.

I'm also not a big fan of Dan's acting but I think he's grown throughout the films. He's definitely better now than he was in the first few films but sometimes I find his acting comes across forced and slightly wooden on screen.

Marsh. 29-11-2010 12:43 AM

I agree about Dan Radcliffe, I remember a friend of mine always bringing up the "I'm gonna kill him" line from PoA. That was cringey.
But I don't rate RG in the last couple, he's too bumbly (if that's a word) but maybe because he's only really given comic relief material.

King Gizzard 29-11-2010 12:48 AM

Expecto Patronum scene with Lupin always comes to mind
