Looks really odd seeing an actual street through the viaduct now :D

Someone noticed this on Digital Spy

Look next to Prima Donner, there's a massive scaffold up

The Police Station will be located behind Victoria Street (where the apartments and Victoria Court are) on a new street name Kitchener Street

Here's a few design plans

Also, at the far end of Kitchener Street will be this building

Here's a little visualisation a fan did on Twitter

So is that just for filming purposes and Kitchener Street is meant within the show to be a bit further away or is there supposed to be a police station behind the kebab shop?

Scarlett. 22-02-2017 09:34 PM

I reckon it will be a little further away, wouldn't make sense to be directly behind Victoria Street, since thats where Victoria Street's back street is

Rob! 22-02-2017 10:52 PM

So is this supposed to have been there all along or is it going to be written as a new addition to the surrounding area? Cause there's plenty of times over the last 56 years where the street could have done with police on their doorstep

I think its meant to be further in town, rather than just around the corner

I noticed that the painting on the Brewery builder's site matches the plans we saw for Kitchener Street

All this was approved today by Trafford Council, they should begin construction soon

From the sounds of it, work has begun! I wonder if that is why the scaffold is up near the brewery?

Marsh. 28-05-2017 06:21 PM

I thought they started it ages ago and that was the excuse for the building stuff that they had Gary working on at the brewery.

They have only just got planning permission, so, I'm not too sure why they started work on the brewery so long ago, lol. Also, if you notice the picture on the brewery scaffold is of the Kitchener Street part of the brewery

Plans for new drainage channels have revealed what seems to be a massive extension to the top end of Victoria Street (past Victoria Court, where there is that white tarpaulin covering.

The image is quite hard to make out so I'll post this showing where that is on the set

Can now see the framework of the new police station

Spotted this on DS

I just hope every investigation is not carried out by poor craig as this would be exploitation as he is only a beginner.

Scarlett. 12-03-2018 11:56 AM

It's all being revealed today!

Rob! 12-03-2018 12:36 PM

Omg it looks amazing

They’ve got a memorial bench for all the victims of the Manchester Bombing which is a lovely touch.
Also, the door handles at the tram station are the original door handles from the old Rovers exterior door

Scarlett. 12-03-2018 12:51 PM

I like that they finally have a tram stop now. There's so many little touches to the area I like, such as the faded paint on the old warehouse.

How it looks from the current area of the set

Marsh. 12-03-2018 01:19 PM

It doesn't look real.

You know what I mean!!!

Scarlett. 12-03-2018 01:38 PM

They've actually matched the area up quite well to what it originally used to look like
