..yeah, it's one of my favourite places to visit, I love everything about it...there's a restaurant there which is kind of 'our place' for me and my OH because we've celebrated special occasions there so many times...it's a cellar type place and just really intimate and cosy...I think I've been to Amsterdam more times than I've been anywhere else....and I find the Van Gogh Museum one of the most peaceful and thoughtful places ever...

It definitely is a romantic city. I went on one of the boat rides, would love to do it again when I have an OH.

I went to a museum or two but I don't remember if it was the one you mentioned. If it was the one that has a big red and white AMSTERDAM sign then yeah i've been there.

..actually there might be some steps/stairs in the park surrounding it, it's a walk outside of the main centre...the other one you could have been to is the Rembrandt Museum but that's right in the centre, so it's easy to know the difference..plus, Van Gogh's is a much more modern building....

..yeah LOL..I had some school work/preparation stuff to do because it's been hectic in daylight hours with Christmas stuff and ICB/listening to music clips...I'm working and laptopping at the same time/multitasking...and drinking hot chocolate..

Drew. 30-11-2013 11:13 PM

that all sounded too hectic until you mentioned the hot chocolate.. i have one the other day for the first time in years, it was surprisingly good and i hate warm drinks

Ammi 30-11-2013 11:18 PM

..it's not really that hectic, I'm only making Christmas paper chains...I bought some hot chocolate sticks at the Christmas market today, have you ever had them..?..you just heat up the milk and put them in and they melt to make hot chocolate and it's real chocolate so it's delicious...

Ammi 02-12-2013 05:58 AM

..I was just thinking this morning..people often say..oh the sickos, the trolls, the weirdos when something bad/sad/tragic happens and then there are 'jokes' on the internet and texting etc about that tragedy...like it was all so different/lovely before the age of this technology..but I remember when Marc Bolan died when his car hit a tree and it wasn't so long at all before there were many, many 'jokes' circling around about that, only it was obviously 'straight from the mouth'..it's just the internet reaches out to a lot more people but nothing was really any different..people weren't different, they just didn't have the technology that we do now...and yeah, there are some malignant people, there always was and there always will be..but for some, it's just their way to joke about things or laugh at them etc....

Ammi 03-12-2013 05:46 AM

..I was talking to someone yesterday who said, I didn't even know who Paul Walker was but I googled him and he was hot and I said yeah, he was hot....so what I was thinking is does that now not sound like a 'sick joke', with how he died, it now seem like not the right thing to say...

Ammi 03-12-2013 05:47 AM

..I wonder when you fly like a bird, if it’s so fast that you don’t have much of a bird’s eye view in that it’s all jumbled/wobbly and shaky and not actually very clear at all, like when the picture goes wrong on the TV...maybe they just have constant migraines, trying to focus at that speed...
