Here are the ratings of CBB7, to compare. HOWEVER, these ratings included the +1 viewers, which usually was 200,000-300,000 viewers. So subtract that amount.
Launch Sunday: 6.2m Monday: 3.5m Tuesday: 3.2m Wednesday: 3.2m Thursday: 3.1m Friday: 2.6m Saturday: 2.9m I mean, obviously CBB8's ratings are a little less, but taking into account the channel change among other things I think the ratings so far have been decent. |
Something I just found interesting....
26,800,000 people in England own a television. That means nearly 10% of people in England are watching this series, and almost 20% of the people in England watched the launch. When you think about it, that's a large portion of the people. |
2.37 million last night it seems to have settled at a level that C5 wont be unhappy at even if they aimed at a different audience but just found the same audience that are disgruntled at no live feed.
Hopefully they will realise that and cash in on a live feed online PPV which will boost their revenue. |
Brilliant for C5

Lovely.

Pleased with 2.5m even though i thought last nights highlights were dull.
Hopefully it will rise again tonight and get over 3m for the first eviction. |
The ratings have gone up the past 3 days :)

BB pulled in an average audience of 2.5m (14%) between 10pm to 11pm on Channel 5.
The show was up 0.1m from the previous night’s highlights show and was the show’s highest rated broadcast since last Saturday (2.7m). Channel 5 had a strong evening with Extraordinary People beforehand pulling in 1.8m, helping the broadcaster beat Channel 4 once again in the primetime shares. Channel 4, who axed Big Brother last year, averaged only 1.1m in the 10pm slot, less than half of Celebrity Big Brother’s audience. Celebrity Big Brother also beat ITV’s News at Ten (1.9m) and BBC2′s airing of Coast (0.6m). Yesterday’s CBB rating was consistent with how the first Wednesday highlights show has performed in the last two summer series, as 2.6m tuned in for the first Wednesday episode for BB11 and 2.4m in BB10. Although yesterday’s audience was down from CBB7′s 3.2m for the same episode, yesterday’s 14% share was actually higher than CBB7′s 12% share. From ds Celebrity Big Brother grabbed 2.5m viewers on Wednesday night, while live football scored for ITV, the latest audience data has revealed. Celebrity Big Brother averaged 2.52m (13.8%) for Channel 5 in the 10pm hour, as Jedward were split up in the latest house task. The reality TV show has so far proved a ratings hit for Richard Desmond's Channel 5, delivering 5.1m viewers for its launch night and then staying above 2m for each subsequent nightly highlights programme. Overall, BBC One just took primetime with 18.9% against ITV1's 18% (+1: 0.3%). Channel 5 came in a strong third with 7.2%, followed by BBC Two with 6.6% and Channel 4 with 5.4% (+1: 1% Lets be honest BB is a hit for C5 |
Hees a round up of the series so far
Thursday 5.2m (22%) Friday 3.2m (15%) Saturday 2.7m (12%) Sunday 2.2m (12%) Monday 2.3m (12%) Tuesday 2.4m (13%) Wednesday 2.5m (14%) Series average is 2.9m (14%) |
Looks like it's going to be 2.6 tonight then
|
Great to see it rising... and Channel 4 doing badly. I honestly can't believe they axed it to be honest. 2.5m every night for 12 weeks? Most channels would be more than happy with that.
