3 episodes into season 5 atm, really enjoying it so far.
Spoiler:

Even though I knew about it ahead of time, MK's death was so hard to watch :worry:

Seeing Alison and Rachel on screen together was surreal considering they've both been around since season one without ever meeting, glad they gave them a scene before the show ended

I've been wondering why that Neolution detective looks so familiar, she's Genevieve from The Originals :flutter:

Spoiler:

I loved the scene between Alison and Rachel, it's just a shame that's the only time Alison was really involved in the plot. Same with MK and Krystal. But I suppose, considering Tatiana Maslany is playing all of these clones, it would be hard to create an ensemble out of it.

This season has made me bawl... jeeesus

Lostie! 10-08-2017 12:31 PM

Eps 4-7 thoughts

Spoiler:

Aisha, Susan and Ira :bawling: Mud is a COW for selling Susan out to Coady (but I still like her?)

Liking having Coady back since she always felt like a loose end. It was cool to get the backstory on her, Susan and PT (or whatever his real name is icr)

Alison's new hairdo :worship:

Krystal now being a Youtuber is hysterical  Nice touch having the guy she kicked in the balls being her real life boyfriend too tbh.

Rachel is a goddess, nuff said  God, the scene of her gouging out her eye was horrific. Like, the whole build up as she prepared to do it was awful enough but I expected a cut away or something :omgno:

It's a really good season so far :clap1:

Lostie! 11-08-2017 12:15 AM

Episode 8

Spoiler:

Gracie and Mrs S :bawling::bawling: Even though I already knew about it all, the episode was still intense as ****. Actually, probably more so because I knew the deaths were coming.

Mrs S' death was pretty perfect for her character though, taking her killer out with her :clap1: Rot in piss, Ferdinand!

Rachel betraying Ferdinand and warning S about him going after her, her redemption is official :clap1: Seriously, what a brilliant character arc she's had.

Eps 7 and 8 were two of the best of the whole show

Watched the penultimate episode last night

Spoiler:

Helena backstory :clap1: I like that they've made an effort to bring loads of old characters back for the final season, even dead ones in flashbacks. Didn't expect to see Tomas again (who I still can't get over being Karl from the Karlsville Goosebumps episodes).

It was odd not having Charlotte's actress play young Helena though

I really like Coady as a character even though she can be a right evil bitch. I like that she's three-dimensional and is shown to be conflicted over some of the stuff they do. Her final scene with Mark was heartbreaking.

I reckon in the finale Rachel will die taking down Not Westmoreland </3.

I MIGHT start watching this considering I can binge-watch it all without having to wait for new seasons or anything

To anyone who watches it, do you think I'd like it or would it not be suited to me?

It's good! The bias side of me would suggest there's nothing to dislike about it, really. It's very science-based but also has aspects of psychological drama/thriller which makes it pretty interesting.

Ashley. 12-08-2017 11:22 PM

It's quite fast-paced so after each episode you'd probably have to take a little break to let it all sink in. But I like that about the show.

Lostie! 12-08-2017 11:22 PM

And a surprising amount of hilarious moments. It mixes the serious and comedic tones really well

There has been speculation that another clone will die tonight. </3

And I suppose it would make sense for it to be Rachel, putting an end to everything considering she was the one who started it all?

Headie 12-08-2017 11:50 PM

I'll give the first season a go and see how I find it!

Lostie! 13-08-2017 12:03 AM

Also Tatiana Maslany is one of the best actresses you'll ever watch

Just finished the first ep and I actually quite liked it :clap1: Will continue to give this a go

My heart

Headie 13-08-2017 01:58 PM

I'm 3 episodes in an liking it so far...

But this whole time I thought Sarah was Australian/New Zealand... is she supposed to be British? :omgno: I did wonder why her "brother" had a British accent and she didn't but apparently that is her British accent

Or is she actually Australasian like I thought?

Omg :joker:

Headie 13-08-2017 02:16 PM

I'm just gonna pretend she's Aussie/Kiwi otherwise I won't be able to watch it properly

Headie 13-08-2017 03:09 PM

Wait the guy who plays Felix isn't British??? omg he sounds so genuine

Tom4784 14-08-2017 02:18 PM

The last episode was good but the season as a whole was pretty uneven I thought.

Spoiler:

I didn't like how half the characters were pretty much sidelined this season and disappeared for long stretches and I'M STILL FUMING ABOUT S. I think P.T was a pretty poor villain in all and I was disappointed to see that the Island business pretty much went nowhere after an intriguing set up. Bringing Mark and Gracie back for the sole purpose of killing them off was pretty cheap too.

I did think the season got better as it went along and it ended very strongly. I really liked the decision to off Coady and P.T early in the last episode in order to focus on the clones' lives after the fall of Neolution and I liked how things ended. I love a good 'things will get better eventually' ending over 'happily ever after.' Sarah still had her issues, nobody got the perfect ending and life went on. The only thing I wasn't keen on in the last episode was Rachel's ending, I thought it was a bit unsatisfying, I never wanted her to be fully redeemed but the character deserved better than that footnote ending.

Aside from that though I loved it although Helena calling her book 'Orphan Black' was a touch too cheesy though ngl.

Lostie! 14-08-2017 03:11 PM

Spoiler:

I did find having Coady and John defeated so quickly disappointing tbh. I also agree that he was a pretty dull villain in the end. Evie Cho would have been a better final boss. Or Coady by herself.

That said, I did really like all the focus on closure for the clones' stories. Rachel getting one brief scene was a shame though (and while I'm glad they didn't go down the forced route of having her become a fully fledged part of Clone Club, I wish she got more appreciation for how much she helped in the end.

I loved them finally getting in a title drop and the clones poking fun at what an odd title it is  "We're not black" :joker:

Overall I loved the season. The finale wasn't my favourite part of it but it was a nice tie up to the story.

I hope to see Tatiana in another major role very soon. Without a doubt one of my absolute favourite actresses out there.

Headie 15-08-2017 11:20 PM

Omg so this show is where that gif of that little girl getting hit by a car is from :joker:

Headie 16-08-2017 12:06 AM

They give away too much in the "Next Episode" previews :fist:
