Question - Do you think Arsenal will finish 4th and if they don't finish 4th should Wenger resign and more importantly WILL Wenger resign?

Drew. 07-04-2014 01:56 PM

Yeah i think we'll come 4th.. Moyes will want to get one over on his old club when they meet and City will be fighting for the title so i can see Everton slipping up, it'll be close though. Even if we do get 4th i think Arsenes time is up, Get the FA cup and leave on a high.

I agree. One thing though, you're theory is based on us winning while Everton lose. Judging by yesterday I would not assume that we can beat anyone. Especially not in the top half of the table. We can only beat teams in the bottom half who have nothing to play for. To be brutally honest, I think Wenger should apologise to all Arsenal away supporter for the fact that we cant stop any of the top clubs scoring at least three goals against us away from home. The away from this year has been a joke.

Even if he doesn't win the FA cup Wenger got to think about the future. Wenger is 64 now, birthday in October. I don't want to see 66 years old Wenger still at arsenal; I barely want to see 65 years old Wenger at Arsenal. I'd like to know why he thinks he deserves a new contract that will make him the highest paid manager in the premier league when its clear other manager are overtaking him if not already past him. eg Rodger, martinez etc. I doubt either of them would be demanding the best part of 8 million a years when they settle for 4th, going out of every competition at the 1/4 final phase and cant be arse to buy any players.

Drew. 07-04-2014 02:45 PM

Luckily all of our remaining fixtures bar Norwich on the final day are against teams either out of form or that have nothing to play for though. Everton face 2 sides trying to avoid relegation, a side fighting for the league and their ex manager so we've got the upper hand.. By the time we have our next PL fixture Ramsey should be nearer to full fitness, Koscienly should be back and possibly Ozil so i'm pretty confident but it wouldn't shock me considering how well Everton are playing right now if we did finish 5th.

I'm all for a new manager now but i can't think of any realistic names that could take over that i'd be happy with.. Klopp is the only one and that's not really likely.

Brother Leon 07-04-2014 03:03 PM

We're not beating Everton :joker:

Once we lose to Bayern we are officially done for the season and planning the summer hold/World cup.

Drew. 07-04-2014 03:08 PM

Everton aren't suddenly world beaters  Moyes will want to do anything not to lose against them, especially twice this season.

GiRTh 07-04-2014 03:46 PM

Everton look a lot better than us or United. They are a club going places. Strange thing is Wenger has earmarked martinez to take over at arsenal but why would he leave everton if he finishes above Arsenal?

Wenger just aint hungry enough anymore and he needs to accept the club needs to look to the future.

Drew. 07-04-2014 03:59 PM

They have massively improved and will probably continue to get better under Martinez, But they haven't exactly destroyed teams this season. They've conceded pretty much every game and have quite a few wins by 1 goal margins, Still think they are more likely to slip up from now until the end of the season.. Saying that, if we lose next Saturday then the players won't be focused at all and we'll pretty much hand 4th to Everton.

We've had no tactics going into any of the games this season. He just seems to sit their on the bench without doing anything even though we're getting completely outdone and its obvious a change is needed, he's lost the plot this year. I can't think of any occasions where hes out smarted another manager tactically this season.

King Gizzard 07-04-2014 04:04 PM

Can see them slumping next season, or staying the same. They have a glass ceiling which is pushing for the champions league but I don't think they can go beyond that..and they'll inevitably have to sell Barkley in 2-3 years. Also wonder if they can the a decent Lukaku replacement

Drew. 07-04-2014 04:07 PM

Wouldn't shock me if someone snapped Coleman up too (although i can't think of any teams that need him) but he's had an amazing season. And then Distin will be retiring soon but they've got Stones coming through who will be great.

Drew. 07-04-2014 04:14 PM

I take that back, we need Coleman.
