Just been into town and it was cut off as the big river has burst its banks and was flowing over the road for around 300 yards. LT just moved the Police closed sign and went up on the path and drove along it as it was flowing but shallower (mind you the drop off on the side would not be clever as its a 4 feet deep and soft and its only a cars width wide) and I made it into town.

We only had 25mm in last 24 hours but the big rivers catchment is way out west

Cold air has dug in here and it was only 6 C as i made my way

Yes, we had an air and grass frost this morning. I left the windows open upstairs last night so when I went to bed my room was 10.3 C and was baltic

I had to make 2 bottles for me and the devil dog.

Hot water bottles?

I had my leccy blanket on for about 3 hours before I went to bed :flutter:

The frost started really early here last night, about 6pm :bored:

No, he is a one man unqualified bloke working out his house with no checks or comebacks who celebrity gossips sheets like the star and mirror use for cheap headlines.

"No meteorological or climate models have been used in the production of the following long-range weather forecasts. All forecasts are produced on a number of personal observations and calculations, that also include; solar activity, ocean behaviour, and historical weather patterns from my own unique collective data. This method of forecasting allows me to make a long term judgement on the factors that I consider to be the most important, and what I also consider to be the most reliable in the future for long term weather forecasting."

(from his awful website)

In other words he makes it up

And from the Star and the headline: "Temperatures may be as low as -4C in northern England and Scotland.":

Min temps have been this low for a few weeks and that is exactly what one expects for Nov.

So the article is utter and complete crap.

When ever you hear anyone say "they say blah bla blah" about the weather

ALWAYS ask them "who say?"

9/10 its not the Met Office so it can be totally ignored

2 Years wait for the New Super Weather Computer banks
that will give us closer

That rain you have at the moment is coming up from the South but its also moving East and should be cleared by six to leave a dry night.

Increased risk of milder and wetter than average conditions for the period Nov-Dec

From the Met office:

Our latest three-month outlook suggests an increased risk of milder and wetter than average conditions for the period November-December-January based on our seasonal forecasts and those from other leading centres around the world.

It states “For November-December-January above-average UK-mean temperatures are more likely than below-average” and “Latest predictions for UK-mean precipitation favour near- or above-average rainfall for November-December-January”

However, there are still substantial probabilities that either average or cool/dry conditions may occur. This is because there are many competing factors that determine what our weather will be like in the coming months.
