..so far as the topic and post counts go, I do think it's a case of you can't/won't please everyone..if no one had a post count at all then although some members might not like that, I think that because none of us had them, it wouldn't be something that we would think about for too long but then probably threads would start saying..can we have post counts back please or if chat and games were added then some would think that 'spam' wasn't a fair thing to have a post count on so leaving it as it is seems like the easiest thing to do....and I know I've said it a few times but this will be my last post on it but I do think a better communication between staff and members would be a good thing in terms of looking into an alternative to the appeals section..and it's not all about infractions/bans etc but sometimes other things and general concerns about something that maybe a member might not want to report etc but just mention to staff..and I know that PM is available but not everyone would feel that they know a mod/admin well enough to PM or maybe feel a bit awkward about it...just maybe a private room that can't be viewed by the rest of the forum that a member could post a concern or whatever in ...nothing like a 'fight room' or anything.....and rather than say that the thought is that it wouldn't work or didn't work if been tried before, maybe look at why it didn't work and whether it could be 'tweaked' to make it work or how to try and make it work...

anyway, last post....

And whoever said that no suggestions are ever added clearly and wildly overlooked my campaign to get (so far, just) the BB1 favourite housemate option on our profiles :hmph: WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT :fist: bb2 through bb10 would be lovely

I've read the whole discussion thanks and my point still stands.

It was 9 pages of people jumping on the bandwagon to criticise the mods for doing nothing in their opinion with some people saying they would rather it stayed the way it was and the sensible people saying they don't give a s***.

This forum is like a crèche at times.

Ammi 27-04-2014 07:27 AM

..I don't think that anyone has jumped on a band wagon here and I think that's indeed why the thread is still going and hasn't been closed etc as so often happens...there are obviously going to be different views and people have just voiced their own..the forum isn't 'perfect', no forum is and indeed nothing ever is and maybe some things some things could be improved or maybe they can't for practical or other reasons but asking questions and discussing things is very rarely a bad thing...

All the PC should be is a way of illustrating how active a member has been since they joined, that gives a useful piece of information in what is a very impersonal format - ie a forum online

asking this for the second time!
can a members post count be removed/hidden/or made private?

I think I would actually hate being one of those posters with like 70k posts (sorry niamh..nathan..whoever else :joker: )

I am ashamed enough of my 40k

lol I don't understand how mine is so high, I always post new threads in C&G rather than General Chat :joker: I suppose I post a fair bit in the TV section and in the BB section on season

That section definitely bumps mine up a lot during on season.

This has been a discussion, no one's jumped on a bandwagon. I had something to say, it became a discussion with Josy - I think it was very useful. No one seems to have thrown their toys out of the pram. If you don't give a sh**, why are you posting in here?

:bored: What is the point in asking for anything, all you get is "why would we want it?", "that would cause more work for us", "we do more than you think" etc.. Someone could at least make an effort and do things that we ask for temporarily, like for a week and if it doesn't work out then fair enough, but being pessimistic about it EVERY SINGLE TIME and thinking the worst every time is not going to solve anything, it's just going to make people question you more. This forum would not exist without the members but none of the suggestions are ever looked into, there is no effort actually made to try anything because everyone thinks of the worst case scenario every time. LIGHTEN UP!

There you go toys out the pram, now jog on.

Agreed - although we probably think it for different reasons.

King Gizzard 28-04-2014 12:51 PM

Get rid of them altogether

King Gizzard 28-04-2014 12:51 PM

Or just make them viewable privately to each person or something

Crimson Dynamo 28-04-2014 12:57 PM

maybe we should have average posts a day shown?

King Gizzard 28-04-2014 01:00 PM

We used to I think, statistics, and who had posted the most on that day, but that was the old forum
