An unchanged layout is irrelevant if the house is executed well, and they've done that.

I agree, also the bedroom is ridiculously small (expected given that it's where the Safe House was) but hopefully this means the housemates don't spend as much time in there. Maybe it's just me but I've always hated it when the bedroom is used as a place for housemates to gather all day, I much prefer seeing the lounge/garden on screen

The whole reason why the show did so well was because each year came with something fresh, it's like; new series, new house, new housemates etc. It just feels tacky to keep re-using a layout because it'll just take me back to the year before when they used it which isn't exactly what big brother was about back in the day :/

The pod doesn't have a bed in, it looks like it is just a sofa.

Pods basically the treehouse

Are you sure?

Definitely looks like they could fit one bed on its own in there. Doesn't look like they have, but I'm sure there's room for just a bed on its own

With the budget they've got, if they'd redone the whole layout the house probably wouldn't look even half as nice. They've done a very good job.

I'm honestly just going on assumptions, but I'd reckon Channel 5 has a much slimmer budget for Big Brother than Channel 4 did.

Also, I didn't even notice this, but there's a breakfast bar in the kitchen built into the wavy light fitting:

Soooo good.

Jarrod 02-06-2014 12:06 AM

Also, there's a huge gap in the glass panel so it would be cold sleeping up there.

The kitchen is my least favourite area of the house.

Cal. 02-06-2014 12:07 AM

The Pod should be like The Loft<3333

You'd think considering how big BB was these companies would pull their fingers out and provide them with a sum of money to create a whole new-look house... I mean it was one of the biggest shows on tv back in the day

Will. 02-06-2014 12:08 AM

There's only 12 seats at the table, there's got to be more than 12 housemates. Guess it's the sofa for some.

You said it

Marsh. 02-06-2014 12:08 AM

Maybe 12 at the beginning and then 3 or 4 later on after a couple have been evicted.

armand.kay 02-06-2014 12:09 AM

I wouldn't mind only having 12hm as long as they were all good.

Still could be if they'd get their acts together :P but I'm gonna stop moaning now haha :)

Will. 02-06-2014 12:09 AM

That gap is huge between the pod, honestly someone could easily fall.

Jake. 02-06-2014 12:10 AM

12 would be a good number, we don't see enough of housemates as it is

I wouldn't really care either way though
