Thanks for thinking Ashleigh has so much power that she can manipulate mature, grown men into doing her bidding. Wow, she's even better than I thought. :cheer2:

haa haa, yes, one thing we have seen is that Ashleigh is very persuasive - not criticising her for that at all, but her evil plans are something else :joker:

Chris must be a right numpty if he's so easily manipulated. You do him a disservice. There is no evidence whatsoever that Ashleigh was sly, he's an intelligent man who did what he did himself. :nono:

Oh dear  Helen is being rather hypocritical lately. She speaks to almost everyone like utter crap. Last night she even told Pav to "shut up".

I can't get to grips with this when you wanted Sam to win last year.. At least Sophie actually spoke

Let's see if people call out the hypocrisy... Oh no wait, they won't, because Helen's been on a 'journey'

No-one wants Helen to be hated more than Helen herself.

My point was that Helen is intent on seeing people's view of her in the worst possible light.

As for people hating someone they don't know, yes, you're right. However, that's nothing to do with what I posted.

Yes indeed. It seems that is ok to hate Ashleigh, Chris, ...but oooh noo, if you hate Pav...Ash.....you must be a real hater. According to certain persons on this forum.

user104658 06-08-2014 10:25 PM

They were, in a strange sort of way, being nice about her. They were saying that, even though she is (let's face it) abrasive as ****, and they have had some serious run-ins with her, and have hated her for a huge chunk of the show... despite all of that... they still can't help but like her. They DO want to be her friend, even though she's the sort of person that they never imagined they could be friends with.

But... Helen's a bit of a wounded dog really. I don't think she was deliberately twisting it to be all negative... I think her life (and her mind) is so full of negativity that she can only HEAR the negative. She's EXPECTING negativity, and latches onto it. And the reason she's so angry about it is because her feelings have been hurt; because despite herself, she does actually want people to like her.

It's a bit of a shame, really. She could have focused on the positives... or even asked them there and then to explain what they meant. Not angrily; just honestly... she could have told them that she overheard and that it didn't feel good because they had been getting on, and I personally think they would have elaborated and explained that they DO like her, and it would have been more or less fine. Helen can't do that because she's afraid of showing weakness... which, ironically, is her major weakness.

I think Helen has probably always had a lot of negativity around her ,and , just expects bad stuff.

I have come to like her Toy Soldier,I see her exactly as you outline in your 2nd paragraph.
I really have to say what a great and revealing post from you as so many of yours are.

A very thought provoking post indeed.

I don't think she twisted it intentionally though. I actually think she IS that stupid to have heard what they said but not be able to understand it. She heard what they said clearly, but due to her limited intelligence she was unable to grasp the (let's be honest) pretty f#$*ing obvious meaning of what they were saying.

When one accepts that Helen basically lacks any real critical thinking skills, the rest of her appalling behaviour becomes almost understandable. She needs to be out of the house, as there are far more important issues for her to deal with in her train-wreck of a life.
