Looking very good indeed

Ross. 09-08-2016 02:50 AM

slay Siobhan :clap1:

I'm still gutted for Hannah after the other night

Shaun 09-08-2016 02:55 AM

I'd get excited over Siobhan being the fastest but Hosszu is winning it let's face it

Novo 09-08-2016 03:00 AM

If Hosszu pulls out of the 200m Butterfly then that's good news for Aimee Wilmott if not then at least she'll be using up some energy before the Final

I understand how it could be annoying but the option's there and I enjoy the studio time tbh, the reason they do it also is to give casual viewers more insight into sports they may not watch regularly/know inside out

I did however mean I don't mind pundits or commentators or indeed presenters being biased, not how much they're shown :p

Just to add to this, the BBC Sport website is covering every single sport live anyway so even if it's not on one of the red button streams (which I can almost guarantee it will be), you could always watch the sessions here:

Slay Siobhan :clap1: :clap1:

but i must say i have respect for Efimova, that she just doesn't care about what people are saying or writing nasty things about her, and just wins a silver medal :)

and Efimova truly earned my respect for her :clap2:

Yeah for the Olympics they do, but in all non-Olympic years we're forced to listen to Gabby Logan spout a load of **** and Phul zones interview disappointed flops and blah blah blah and in general they just need to improve their coverage

Also the uninterrupted coverage doesn't have the same commentary as the main channel one, and pretty much the only good thing about the BBC's coverage is Steve Cram's commentary so :/

Headie 09-08-2016 12:25 PM

Shaun and Braden please appreciate this:

Oh I know outside of the Olympics the red button coverage is being scaled back, they've done the same with snooker and swimming in recent years too. You can blame the government for their forced budget cuts on the BBC for that:

https://www.theguardian.com/media/20...cuts-athletics

They do still cover a few things on the red button though, like some Diamond League meets

And the streams definitely have commentary, if volleyball gets commentary then athletics definitely will

Oh I know they have commentary, I didn't mean it like that, I meant that the red button commentators are different to the main channel ones (i.e. if I watched the red button coverage I wouldn't get Steve Cram's amazing commentary which is pretty much the only reason why I watch BBC's coverage )

Are you sure? I'm convinced it was Steve, Brendan and Paul Dickinson (who's now left the BBC I think) doing commentary on the streams in London and for the Commonwealth's. I guess we'll have to wait till Friday to find out

Yep I'm sure, the Commonwealth games commentary was definitely different as I remember not hearing Steve Cram on the red button coverage yet hearing him on the main coverage.
