That's what we thought when CBB16 dipped below 2 million in officials, below even BB14 though... I think it is still capable, there just seems to be something wrong this year

I again say this, I don;t know why people expect it to hit 2m+.

The show launched at 2.3m, it was hardly going to keep 2m+, when has that happened? Most shows drop half a million or much more from launch averages.

I always judge series performance from 1st HL show. The first HL show got 1.9m. And the series recently is at around 1.8m, it seems much better than other performances.

Yes, it is low for winter series, but with a launch of 2.3m, it was never going to hit 2m=. It's like expecting BB7 to have stayed at 7.7m which it launched with. BB8 launched with 6.5m and averaged 3.9m. BB9 averaged in the mid 5s but averaged 3.6m. CBB7 launched at 6.7m and averaged at 3.7m.

Even the very big C5 series dropped...

CBB8- Launched at 5.5m, averaged at 2.8m.
CBB9- Launched at 3.6, averaged at 2.6m.
CBB10- Launched at 3.00m, averaged at 2.00m (this series launched with less than this and averaging more)
CBB11= Launched at 3.8m- Average 2.8m
CBB12- 3.2- 2.3
CBB13- 3.7- 3.1
CBB14- 2.6- 2.1
CBB15- 3.7- 3.1
CBB16- 2.7- 1.9
CBB17- 3.3- 2.8
CBB18- 2.7- 2.1

Launch of this series was 2.8 official- so far 2.3m.

So, it's no more in trouble than any others with actual performance. This series launched at very similar ratings to CBB16/18 and currently up on them.

I completely understand this but my question was why did it launch so much lower in the first place, and also not rise by an exceptional amount to make up for it

That's what I don't understand, only things I can think of it the All Stars thing put people off and because of Bear's win put people off?

But like I said, it was never going to rise, a rise from launch has only happened for CBB13 final, but for normal HL shows, probably, the race row? I can't think of it ever happening again, perhaps CBB15 the weekend of Katie Price's entrance? Last year one HL show matched launch.

Shewishes

That got 600k

Ross. 19-01-2017 11:36 AM

Not everyone tuning in to see Kim get escorted out at the end

supertv247 19-01-2017 11:44 AM

A highlights show never usually peaks that much higher at all, so that's pretty good. And it went from 2.5 million at the end of BB to 0.7m for Lauren
Hopefully this continues tonight and keeps it over 2 million

Jake. 19-01-2017 12:13 PM
