If we fail to beat Man U they have to sack Klopp

Denver 01-10-2017 05:22 PM

We are going right back to where we were under Rodgers

Denver 01-10-2017 05:22 PM

He is making us a laughing stock right now

Denver 01-10-2017 05:23 PM

Luis Enrique is available and would massively improve us

Denver 01-10-2017 05:24 PM

Imagine failing to beat one of the weakest teams in the league

GiRTh 01-10-2017 05:27 PM

Liverpool defence done by a straight thru ball again.

Ancelotti too. :hee:

It's gonna be 28 years since Liverpool last won the championship. To someone who grew up with them being the best team in Europe, it's quite a shocking statistic.

Locke. 01-10-2017 07:12 PM

Another poor performance. We weren't at it going forward today but again it's the defence that let us down, the most basic goal you could ever look to concede. Any kind of coaching doesn't make a difference to that goal, it comes straight down to the brain dead centre halves we have. A poor window has let us down again, failed to build on qualifying for the Champions League just like we did last time we qualified for it. You know it's bad when you're actually happy it's an international break so you can get away from watching us for a couple of weeks.

Having said that we will improve when Lallana and Clyne are back, but sadly dick and dom at the back will continue to find ways to gift the opposition goals you'd see on a primary school playground.

What's Steven Gerrard up to? is he getting into coaching?

He's the kind of manager you need, someone to bring new ideas and a passion for the club, instead of going for the older people like Ancelotti who just come for a pay packet, and who's philosophy's are becoming outdated.

Move forwards, not backwards.

He is our U19's manager

Well that's good that he's working with your future players. You should be promoting him to first team manager when Klopp fails to deliver.

Klopp has the perfect centre and the perfect forward built in the team, but his weakness is his back, his mistake is that he is following the German way of defending, and a German defender runs like an athlete up and down the pitch for 90 minutes, and here in English football are players are more heavy and only use there energy when its needed, you can see why Liverpool defenders are struggling, its Klopp's German style of defending that is burning out the energy of his defenders by the time its half-time, they are worn out, and they are too tired for the second-half, Rafa's centre and back where perfect, only good goals could get past it, and remember Benitez can turn average players into stars, yes even championship players, I'm sure Liverpool fans today wish that Rafa was back at Anfield tomorrow fixing out the defence problems at the club, who knows, he said that he will never rule out returning to Anfield one day, even Newcastle fans never thought that they would get a world class manager like him, in football anything is possible.

Ancelottis won three champions leagues. There would be no better seat warmer if Liverpool look for another manager or promote Gerrard

Gerrard is far too young and inexperienced if he takes over at Liverpool it might be like Gary Neville at Valencia . It would be a shame if a pro who actually wants to become a manager - most are happy to sit in the pundits chair - had a big profile failure in his first management job. Liverpool got to stick with Klopp and he has somehow sort out your snoozing defence. Liverpool are giving up the same goals week after week.

Gerrard is 37, the same age as Pep when he took over Barcelona after coming through the club ranks, and bringing a new fresh philosophy to football. He was inexperienced too. How did that work out?

Pep was B manager for a whole season before taking over and won their league so similar but not the same. Do you think Gerrard can topple the dominance of Chelsea and Man City at that level? IF they does then give him the job with no hesitation but I doubt it. Would love it if Gerrard took over and took the drastic steps Pep took like getting rid of their star players. Gerrard will probably be Liverpool manager at some point soon but surely not yet.

Locke. 02-10-2017 03:25 AM

No need to talk about another manager at all. The fans love Klopp, there would be murder if he got sacked. He deserves time, but most importantly money. We have a net spend of under £30m since he arrived. I'd also disagree that he has the perfect forward. Firmino is brilliant but he's not going to score 20+ a season, he's 15 league goals a season at very best in the PL. It's important he stays in the side because he's very important to how we play, but ideally we'd have a top forward like Utd/Chelsea/City/Arsenal/Spurs have. That would have been Sturridge if he was the Studge of 3 years ago, but sadly he's not going to reach those levels again.

Denver 02-10-2017 05:32 AM

He had the money he just refused to spend it

Locke. 02-10-2017 06:38 AM

Not necessarily true. We know there was money available for a further centre back, not any other position.

Denver 02-10-2017 08:05 AM

He was given 40 million each for 2 new wingers and was allowed to pay 50 million for a player to come next season and bid 70 million for a cm

Crimson Dynamo 02-10-2017 08:14 AM

so regretting my everton players in Fantasy league now..

And despite those bids we are still at a net spend of under £30m since he arrived.

Brother Leon 02-10-2017 10:49 PM

Hate to say it, but City look worryingly good. Mourinho going to need to pull off a masterclass top them in the league if Pogba being out until December is damn true.
