Kyra needs to get over herself. She initiated everything and he was polite to her. She changes her mind more than i change my underware. Now she is trash talking him because he isnt going sll in for her, who would, given her track record?
Emily, he hasn't done anything bad to. He is trying to build a connection with her and Kyra and the girl pack have poisoned her head.

I think it's entirely possible to acknowledge that Weston is a huge **** boy AND that Kyra is a hypocrite who instigated the whole situation and they're both just as bad as each other.

Im not seeing how weston has done anything wrong. He hasnt been breaking promises to the people he has been with. The point of the show is to find the person your best suited to be with.

Its about time that channel went to HD

1) This **** only has 22 episodes compared to like 40-50 episodes in most UK series
2) CBS is pushing this show into canon with **** like Arielle being in the same advertisements as Probst/Phil/Chenbot, Winston from BB20 being an islander, and Caro/Ray being cast for TAR33 before production had to stop, so I do feel an obligation as someone watches and edgics Survivor, TAR, and BBUS
3) IDK, I'm American so I guess there's a little bit of nationalism even though this show was very mediocre lol. I still have some BBUK plans this summer so I feel like I'm getting my British fix pretty soon

I don't think I've ever hated a television scene more than the one I just watched where Elizabeth laughs about how she's the worst person to take to haunted houses, Zac laughs about how he hates free-fall drop rollercoasters, and then they start passionately making out as "Someone You Loved" played in the background. White mediocrity at its finest.

1. Caro (alol duh. I forgot how much of a star she was RIGHT AWAY because I have so many memories of Kyra just being a production plant but ugh she's perfect right from the start. Between the baby/Cardi B voice that she incessantly forces on every single guy and the fact that she is SO FICKLE that she cycles through like three or four different guys in the first week is hilarious. For every instance she kisses one guy and falls in LOVE, she then goes on a date with them and charms them with her baby voice and then realizes that she has nothing in common with them. It's a work of art)
2. Alexandra (she's just kind of a fun and nice presence?)
3. Cashel (another fun presence? He's just a weirdo but in a charming and authentic way)
4. Dylan (a little too ~bro~ for me but ultimately harmless)
5. Cormac (I don't really *like* him but he at least has the potential to spice things up and be unapologetically cutthroat)
6. Kyra (I'm trying to go into this with an open mind bc I didn't really care for her BUT so far my opinion is that she's just kind of a boring and predictable production plant)
7. Alana (she apparently exists? All she did was tongue Yamen during spin the pineapple and leave him frightened)
8. Elizabeth (she's kind of cute but then she does some cringeworthy **** like giggle about how she screams really loudly in haunted houses and whenever she gets the stomach flu she calls her family to say her final goodbyes bc she thinks she's dying. It's a little too much of a BBUK HM shtick)
9. Mallory (kiiiiiiind of desperate and not in a fun way)
10. Weston (is actually largely irrelevant Week 1)
11. Yamen (is just kind of there)
Michael (I don't dislike him enough to put him in red bc he's so irrelevant BUT he's just really awkward and it makes me uncomfortable bc it's kind of excruciating)
12. Zac ("I work in a grocery store and totally DO NOT have modeling experience and I live at home with my mom and my three sisters and I am really close with them :3" it's fitting that he's coupled up with Elizabeth because *HE* is such a ****ing golden boy to an obnoxiously fake degree, again very BBUK style like his girlfriend)

Week 1 was fine! Definitely a bit of a slow burner since the plot was entirely driven by Kyra and then Caro, but Caro is such a tour de force that she can make any scene entertaining just by making weird faces and talking in her patented baby voice. I can't imagine this show without her, and thankfully I don't ever have to :love:

"SORRY, I DON'T MEAN TO BE RUDE." --Mallory as she slams the sliding glass door in Katrina's face so she can continue to talk **** about her with the other girls.

The Mallory/Alana double boot is easily the best episode thus far because we actually have some plot development. The Mallory/Weston fallout is kinda lame and she kinda had it coming because she explicitly said she doesn't want to date him, and Katrina is a fun MORP presence so it's no loss at all. The Yamen/Alana/Christen conflict is actually a fun 1-2 episode storyline and really served as Alana's breakout. She gave fun confessionals about being stuck in the Hideaway with Mallory, had some fun quips like when she told Christen that she better not hug her, and then ~Alana the Banana~ in the superhero game was a great attempt to make her territory by screaming, doing cartwheels and front walkovers, and tonguing Yamen while everyone else just stood there all :nerd

And then the fallout from the recoupling was GLORIOUS. Alana putting her phone down and dramatically storming off, Mallory crying about how she's the girl who couldn't find love on Love Island, Alana sobbing as she packed her suitcase, Alana coming out and yelling "DO YOU WANT TO TALK?!?!" at Yamen, and then Alana tonguing Yamen one last time on her way out only for him to wipe his mouth aftewards holylol. She was kind of irrelevant until this episode but it was a great single episode performance. It also helps her cause that Yamen was kind of dick, first saying that Alana was rushing into things too quickly and that he wanted to take it slow but then this episode saying that things with Alana weren't progressing quickly enough.

And now we're in the Winston era, which I think somehow makes me appreciate his BB stint slightly more?

1. Caro (the heart and soul of the show, changing which guy she has a crush on every episode, sometimes even within the same episode! The last episode had her start off by saying she's falling for Cormac and then halfway through she says she has a crush on Weston?! She's such a mess but she's fully surrendering herself to the show and it's gri8)
2. Alexandra (everyone else decided to strip as a nurse of a cop or a firefighter and she wore a full on hotdog halloween costume :haha )
Alana (was kind of nothing until her boot but then her boot episode was stellar. Love her commitment to tonguing Yamen against his will any chance she could)
3. Cashel (is just cute and weird and ^_^ and I dig it)
4. Katrina (actually nice and fun? But I don't feel that strongly let's not get carried away)
Christen (I remember she was supposed to be some evil villain bc she burned her roommate's bed or something but then she got on the show and was just kinda there? Feel bad that she got booted so early, she had a fun spirit and I laughed how her boot episode was basically just her talking about how Yamen's a terrible kisser)
5. Winston (just entered the villa but is fine so far. Vaguely likable and in way over his head which is fun)
6. Dylan (a good guy for Alexandra but is just kinda there)
7. Kyra (lmao she's such a ****ing plant it's kind of annoying, like the last three episodes have just been like *UGH* I AM FALLING FOR CASH BUT NOW I'M JUST LOOKING FOR REASONS TO NOT LIKE HIM BECAUSE *THERE ARE ISSUES* like shut up lmao)
Cormac (very much Just There but he earns his mid placement after putting up with Caro for his entire stay)
Mallory (I find it bizarre that people were OUTRAGED at her dumping because she basically gave Weston permission to pursue other girls AND she was just kind of desperate and whiny and not in a fun way)
8. Elizabeth (she's not bad but she's NOT actively good in any way, just a boring frontrunner because she and Zach have ~true love~ or something)
9. Weston (just got a bunch of obnoxious P-SPV this episode despite just being there. Pass)
10. Yamen ("Alana's moving too fast, I just want to slow down and get to know her and let things progress naturally" vs. "things aren't going anywhere with Alana, I have a *spark* with Chrsiten" whatisthetruth.gif)
11. Zac (THE most generic and obvious winner in the world holy ****. Every scene is just him expressing his complete devotion to Elizabeth, someone who he has met like a week and a half ago. It's all so put-on and contrived and nauseating)

This week was good, I thought! I definitely think this show suffers from a few things, such as moving too fast in terms of there being new entries and eliminations like every other episode and there not being time for things to just simmer and build, as well as the fact that each episode only focuses on like one or two couples in detail and the rest are just background fodder, but stories are starting to develop and personalities are starting to come out so that's fun. Caro continues to remain head and shoulders above the rest of the cast. This is her world and we're all just living in it.

"I know everybody is gonna miss you... yeah. Alright. *hugs Cashel* You guys are so awesome! *hugs Katrina* I didn't even get to hang out with you but you're so beautiful and so sweet, you guys are amazing" ~ I'm pretty sure that Arielle nearly being moved to tears by Katrina and Cashel's elimination was The Moment that cemented her status on CBS's Mt. Rushmore with Jeff, Phil, and Julie.

1. Caro (a low-key week for her but she's still fun whenever she's on screen)

Katrina (poor girl, Weston really did throw her aside as soon as Kelsey stepped in. It's okay though, I'm sure he found true love :) but on a real note, she really is a girl's girl and it was really cute how she still supported Kelsey and didn't hold any grudge against her)
3. Ray (UTRP and cute and already a devoted worshipper of Caro)
4. Aissata (I totally forgot that "I'm celibate" is her whole thing so far but she's just really sweet?)
5. Dylan (The comment about being open to talking to other girls wasn't cute but eh he's still one of the better guys left if only by default. He's the stereotypical surfer bro but it's not all that obnoxious and he's smart enough to be in on the joke? Like I'm sure his edit on BBUS would be obnoxious and I'd hate him for it but it's the perfect amount here)
Winston (he was nice? and really awkward, to the point where the only girl he could connect with was someone like nine years his minor? It was a nice follow up to his BB stint where he's less of a douche and they focus even more on his inability to get girls :love:)
6. Kyra (I'm *SHOCKED* that she's this high because I don't really care about her at all lmao. I keep saying it but she HAS to be a ****ing plant, like every move she makes is straight from a Love Island textbook. She's fickle as **** and has serious issues with how she handles her feelings towards men she's attracted to and she's definitely THE main character, but I really don't care about her at all)
7. Kelsey (she's nice? Being attracted to Winston loses her points but it's going to turn into sympathy soon bc he's a ****boy)
8. Eric (he's supposed to come in as The Bad Boy Of Love Island and he's not even that villainous alol and for someone who's clearly supposed to be hated or in the love-to-hate territory, I have next to no feelings about him!)
George (he seemed nice? And he was 30 which is Old in Love Island years. And he was also hardly on the show and I don't think he even started to form a connection with anyone alol goodbye)
Marli (she was attracted to Winston and made me laugh when she didn't know who Luke Bryan was and left Winston appalled)
9. Elizabeth (WE GET IT you're in love with Zac)
10. Yamen (okay so he absolutely is a ****boy buuuuuut there's a slight bit of charm there that keeps him out of red? Maybe it's because the rest of the girls and the show itself are acknowledging that he's a ****boy)
11. Zac (just BORING like we get it, you're in love with Elizabeth. The relationship proposal and the waterfall date were maybe the two most nauseating scenes of the season and he's still in yellow because he somehow felt the least shoved down our throats this week? Maybe because he also received some solid N content)
12. Weston (ugh speaking of ****boys, this asshole is sooooooo annoying and smarmy. He hyped Katrina up as a family-oriented girl but then basically ghosted her because she's TOO family-oriented that she wouldn't have time for him? And suddenly HE'S the expert of relationships and is willing to lecture Zac to stop being boring and ditch The Boys to hang out with Elizabeth because she's going to control him and change him despite the fact that 1) Weston is 25 and Zac is 22 so they are basically in the same age bracket and 2) Weston is basically being more controlling of Zac than Elizabeth ever has been? GOODBYE HUMAN and I'm not even at the part of the season where he gets really ****ing awful)

So this week was kind of crazy because THE LOVE LINER brought in six new people and we had three different episodes where people were dumped from the island! The recoupling was interesting enough because quite a few people swapped partners and it's starting to feel like the part of the season where couples are started to get solidfied, and I think that's helping the show because the couples can actually take the time to develop their own storylines. The week was a little *too* centered on the Cashel/Kyra/Eric love triangle and Kelsey/Weston got a little too much repetitive airtime for my liking but I'm still enjoying things to some degree. It's not breathtaking television but it's not really unwatchable or anything.
